It’s been two years and not a day goes by that I don’t miss you dude. It feels like yesterday I was surfing St. Augustine pier on my lunch break, came back to the truck and coincidentally my phone was ringing. I didn’t want to answer knowing what I was about to be told, but I had to. I completely lost it. I jumped on the first plane possible to come see you before you left us. That was by far the longest and worst flight I’ve ever been on. I do not wish that on anybody. You managed to hang on until I got there and I got to give you one final big hug. I’m forever grateful. It’s truly the small things in life that mean the most.

Now I’m driving your truck, loaded up with the same surfboard you taught me to surf on 20+ years ago. Pretty crazy there was a photographer on the beach and captured the first wave I caught on this board. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, well they aren’t wrong. This is one of picture I was always hold close to my heart and I’m forever grateful.
