Good day the world!
I’m Mihaela Buzgan, 29yo, born in Moldova and living my life between France and birth country, and sometimes mixing in the 3rd country where I travel for work. I started my art career in animation very early, at 17yo. It was great studio opportunity while in my last years of Lyceum in Moldova, and I’m grateful for it because it pathed my later decision of studying animation. I had to move abroad to have these studies and probably that motivates me to develop a way for this studies in Moldova. Moving abroad can be hard/fearsome for hyper-sensitive people, but also very exciting and knowledgeable.
I am also crazy about illustration. In the works you’ll see here there’s motives from Moldovan traditions, old houses, tapestry, religious themes (memory of grandparents), childhood memories, warmth of houses, my feelings of this life…
As well as cartoony, fun images of cats and other animals))
I get very much inspired by artists here on Instagram of all sorts, I believe that everyone of us is creative in their way. Creative in the way you speak, dress, educate others/yourself, make a cup of tea/coffee…etc many manyyy ways ⭐️♥️
I’m here to share my personal work and life events!
I am not a consistent publisher of artwork but stories are coming more often so stay close to share inspiration and coziness ♥️🤗🌷.

I just realised this painting was never posted here and it's about 3 years old now...
It's a woman on Soba. Sobă is a construction to make fire to heat the room and cook food. It's not really a chimney but it serves to warm your bed in winter, so you kind of sleep on the chimney . Very common in old times in Moldova and Romania. You can still find some of these , working in renovated houses. They're really magical pieces. I think you're in contact with God or Universe when you lit one, you smell the wood and you get warm on it. Very special experience. I recommend visiting Moldova 💙💛❤ taken in Moldova by @mitchbuzgan

October is for celebrating the harvest, and for them this season is varied in nuts, seeds and flowers. And it’s not just about food, it’s also about their hobbies that this season offer lots of materials to create.

This new watercolour painting is called “Woman in prayer”. As other of my works it portrays objects of decor and religion from Moldova and Romania (and generally from east Europe).
Moldova can still be considered as mostly a religious country as many citizens either go to church, celebrate important events as marriage and baptisms, funerals with the canons of religion.
If you ever visit Moldova there is high chance you will encounter a person doing a cross while passing a church or a cross installed in the city.
My mother was telling me the other day how there was a big queue at the church to get Saint water.

This painting is about peace and those moments when we ask God or someone/something we believe in, to offer us a miracle or help us find a solution in good time.

I wish you all to find hope and believe there will always be a bit more peace than war 🌻

Uneori, dorul de acasă încape într-o carte poștală.

Colecția aceasta adună momente mici, dar pline de suflet: copiii stând la cald lângă sobă cu bunica, mirosul pâinii coapte în cuptorul de lut, liniștea din brațele mamei, iernile în care satul parcă respiră mai încet.

Ilustratoarele Mihaela Buzgan @mitchbuzgan și Daria Rusu @dearmorninng au surprins exact ce ne leagă pe toți — amintirile din casa părintească și tandrețea satului moldovenesc.

Eu le-am imprimat pe hârtie manuală, cu texturi naturale, create din foi rupte din copilărie.

August memories and art. Even though I have a feeling I’ve spent mostly in doors… end of summer was in fact quite busy. Moving to a new town was stressful but quick and we had a good road to arrive. La Provence is full of places to discover and get inspired. It is quite different from the cities I’ve lived before both naturally and culturally. In the art slides you’ll find both originals and copies (the flowers still art) that I’ve experimented this month.
Let’s see what September brings! Even though in France autumn only starts on the 21st, so still time to enjoy the sun and the beach until than 😁🥰 taken in Draguignan by @mitchbuzgan

Salutare tuturor!
Am o tradiție o dată pe an să vorbesc despre depresie . Eu cunosc doar o fațetă din ea. Pentru mine a fost o perioadă urâtă din viață care a durat 1 an și care mi-a dat un barometru nou al spectrului de emoții și stărilor pe care omul poate să le simtă. Undeva sunt recunoscătoare pentru această experiență terifiantă pentru că acum pot simți compasiune față de persoanele ce suferă. Unii trec prin depresie mai grav, unde pare că nu este cale de întoarcere. Eu sunt optimistă sa cred că orice suferință a omului se tratează sau ameliorează (o spun acum când mă simt bine).
Cel mai important este să fie validare de la familie, suport de la psihiatru și psiholog , medicație în cazuri grave.
Pentru mine începerea medicației a fost un început de drum de vindecare. Pe lângă aceasta este important lucrul cu psihologul, un specialist bun. Eu nu vă pot oferi resursele la care am apelat așa cum e important să aveți încredere în comunitatea în care sunteți. Pentru mine specialiștii au apărut uneori spontan, uneori la limite. Acest proces de căutare este la fel de important pentru vindecarea ulterioară.
Vara celebrez doi ani fără medicație.
Este important să asculți corpul și stările mentale pentru că suntem atât de diferiți .
Este important în acest proces de vindecare să vezi (măcar unele zile) o viață mai bună pentru tine emoțională și de relație cu socialul. Să te împrietenești cu corpul tău, să mănânci sănătos, să dormi bine, să lucrezi cumpătat . Să înveți că lumea și spiritualul nu sunt împotriva ta, dar sunt o parte cu tine.
Este important să accepți că depresia nu este ceva de care trebuie să scapi. Este mai mult ceva ce necesită schimbat sau transformat.
Simptomele depresiei pot reveni mai ales în dependență de sezon sau evenimente grele din viața de aceea este important să înveți despre tine și cum se manifestă simptomele să știi când e bine să ceri ajutor. by @mitchbuzgan

Rouen is one of those cities that has lots of aesthetic corners and I like taking pictures of them. This is another piece in building paintings that i love to create but I haven’t done in a while. Merci @espiguette_rouen for making Rouen inspiring 🥰
One day I’ll have a big collection of these and I’ll make a travel booklet 🪴
In the photo there is also Yarrik my boss who gives me feedback. And of course the photo of the restaurant.

Fields of gold is the song that I listened to while painting this piece. It started with a beautiful sketch that didn’t let me go to not paint it so I offered it as a present, this gave me motivation to finish it:)
I see many ways of drawing this one sketch.
This piece will only be in original form, no prints made.
The man and woman are dressed in traditional clothes from Moldova and Romania dancing to their love ❤️
