Pillars of a Twisted City - “False Prophet”
New music video with my talented freind @jonjoffin ! @sonycine and @keslowcamera were kind enough to let us test drive the new Rialto Mini. It was truly an eye-opening experience that completely shifted my perspective on what’s possible with such a compact camera body today. Huge thanks as well to @tiffencompany for supporting us with some beautiful soft glow and dark contrast filters which are quickly becoming new favorites. This one came together through a small team that brought passion and energy every step of the way. I think it truly shows. Very grateful! “La Caja Azul” is now streaming on Amazon Prime 🙌 This was my first narrative feature, and I’m grateful to have collaborated with such a top-notch group of people who made the experience so memorable. Thanks so much to director @hodara2016 for his trust, collaboration and artistry. I was thoroughly educated on film history throughout making this film. Who knew my love for Tarkovsky could grow twice as much! 😂Genuinely learned so much from working with you my friend! 🫶 Our amazing producers @axelkuschevatzk & @mondefi for their tireless support and hardwork. At times when it looked like things were impossible you always found a way. Forever impressed with you guys! To our leads @luisanalopilato & @gus_bassani thanks for making each and every setup the best it could be and always being team players. You both made turning up to work everyday a true joy. I genuinely appreciate all of your patience with my non existent spanish. 🫣 And last but certainly not least the best team a DP could ask for. @davidduynguyen @elijah_zimmerman @luke_strahm @composition_ok @sangalicious @blakedavey. You guys always gave 100% and pushed to make this thing look as good as it possibly could. Even on the toughest days it was always a boost knowing you had my back. Lots of love💙 taken in Vancouver, British Columbia by @mitchell.baxter

RBC | The Ideas That Shaped Shane (DC) Whoever said “don’t meet your heroes” never met @shanelowrygolf Spending time with Shane, his family, his friends, and everyone around this project was genuinely special. Left Ireland with a whole new appreciation for Irish hospitality 🍀 Doing these micro-doc spots on athletes is always about finding something deeper than the highlights or trophies — the human stuff that shapes them. With Shane, that came effortlessly. The warmth, humour, honesty, and love for family was there the second we arrived. Seeing the next generation of young golfers Shane is inspiring at @eskerhillsgolf was incredibly special. Cherry on top was spending my final day playing the course with @paddyegan96 & @daniel.b.molloy — capped off by Roy pouring me what was probably the greatest Guinness I’ll ever have on the 12th tee box. Huge thanks to my brother @mitchell.baxter for going to the ends with me on this one — including our desperate rainy-night hunt for RCA cords in Dublin. To @trevorlang_ — my fellow golf addict equal — thanks for always pushing to make this great. And huge love to the whole @dearfriend.tv team for always backing & believing in this kind of work. And to @brianjchambers_ for making this edit absolutely sing. Maybe being Irish helped?! Big love to Joe, Troy, Ryan & Steve for trusting us to get this one right. And massive s/o to our Irish producer extraordinaire @keevabolger for the long hours driving across the midlands and helping make Ireland feel like home. Director — 🏌️‍♂️

"This was an incredibly ambitious project, full of big and weird ideas that we aimed to realize as much as possible through practical execution, while also pushing into some ambitious VFX work. The biggest challenge was really the overall scope and the standard we set for ourselves, both in production and post. The song itself feels so epic and expansive, and it felt essential that the visuals matched that same scope and intensity. Achieving that within our resources was definitely a challenge, but we were fortunate to have an exceptional team that brought it all to life." - director @sterlinglarose Sub Urban "What You Sow" Artist: @suburban Director: @sterlinglarose Production Company: @dreambearproductions @wallop.film Executive Producers: @evanmbrown @allthedave Luis Guerra, Martin Glaegg & Matt Dix Producers: @jamesmadethat @bchick16 Production Coordinator: @reegslovinit 1st AD: @dzakatak Director of Photography: @mitchell.baxter Production Designer: @productiondesignhotline Colorist: @clintonhomuth VFX Producer: @tomothyhondrox *Full credits on YouTube Budget: Over $50k Tech Specs: We shot on a Sony Venice, I forgot which lenses but @mitchell.baxter will know haha. When I was starting out in the film industry, I wrote in a journal that I’d be repped within 10 years. That was 11 years ago now… so maybe my math was slightly off? I’m so excited to share that I’m joining the amazing team at @zerogravitybtl for representation in the US & Canada. I have so much respect and admiration for this group of artists and I am humbled to run alongside you all. Feeling especially grateful for everyone who’s played a part big or small. There’s been many times in my career I have questioned whether the work I was doing mattered and if I really belonged in this industry - and with a lot of help and encouragement I’ve realized a dream I’ve wanted since I was a kid. Big love to @zacharyvague for the portrait 🫶 by @mitchell.baxter
