30” mark toppled

Excuse me having 2 nets one was acquired on the beach mid session.

This fish measured between 30.5” & 31” on my net so I’ll just be safe and call it 30. For those who know, a unicorn like this takes twice as much luck as skill. Luckily I at least pretend to know what I’m doing, and was in the right place at the right time.

If ur still reading thanks for the interest! The other fish in the slides were all caught within 5 casts and are in the 19-23” range. So my day was already made before this beast appeared. Last slide includes one from the day before.

The met is no secret so I don’t feel bad mentioning this place, it has fantastic fishing but is also no easy task. Catching a fish like this brings me so much joy but is also humbling and brings reflection. As things like this continue to disappear and are threatened it is important to reflect not only on the decisions we make as groups but also as individuals on a day to day basis. We must strive to keep safe the things we love and cherish, and the resources around us that can so easily be taken for granted. With only about a month to go, I would like to say thank you to my family, friends, professors, and anyone who’s been a part of my life these last three years. I love you all dearly and you have made college something truly special to me. This all went by way to quickly, however I’m excited for the future and look forward to what life has coming my way.
