TRUMP TURNBERRY PART 2

Always impressed with the way the simulator can make a course feel. Since using @fiveundergolf the lost of courses I want to play IRL has grown dramatically

1) Trump Turnberry
2) Adare Manor
3) Pinehurst any of them
4) Cabot citrus farm

The list goes on but the way playing golf on a sim is helping real golf is unmatched for me personally. It’s the data in practice mode and it’s the not using the same club twice whilst playing on course for me, having to create the shots around the green that you think it requires without getting to feel the stance or lie is also very freeing if you’ve worked on technique and want to take it to the course.

I had a feeling some good golf was due. I’ve been working away, and the results have felt like they were working their way in over the course of this season.

Here at @fiveundergolf, I broke my session down into three stages.

I started with pitching using @vplanegolf, focusing on 20, 30 and 40-yard pitch shots. Keeping it simple: making sure I didn’t release my right hand too early before contact and keeping the wings synced up with my shoulders after I’d hit the ball.

Followed by some pause swings to help me emphasise swinging left from the top. I sit quite comfortably on an in-to-out club path and prefer seeing my ball move the opposite way to what I find easy… shock 😇

Finished off with some full-speed swings and played around with shot shapes and swing speeds. From Five Under, I headed to a practice facility for a couple of hours of chipping and putting in preparation for the event I played.

Seemed to work nicely!

Ahh this makes me so happy.

4th place finish and -1 total for 36 holes around Hindhead really fills the cup up.

My results have progressed nicely throughout this year, all thanks to @clubhousegolfuk @fiveundergolf @vplanegolf @martinadamsgolf great to be close to a podium finish in a strong field 💪🏼

In loving memory of our man Souls.

His close friends and members of @hockleygolfclub1914 have been raising money for @hiowaa56 (Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance charity).

It costs £1700 per trip for the air ambulance and they take approximately 7 trips per day to help save the people of our nation. Please donate to the charity by following the link in my bio.

The chaps have done an amazing job in not only organising a great golf day but securing wicked auction prizes from top brands and people such as @taylormadegolf @adidasgolf signed golf merch from legends @justinprose99 & @garethbale11 holiday villas, top golf courses and club merch, it helped us all to raise £23,400 so far…

Please donate to this charity if you have spare change, you never know when they may be needed.

The weekend playing county golf at Royal Blackheath, Englands oldest golf course

To play good golf under pressure and win at the best level I can is why i’m playing this game.

Two great matches on Sunday, winning the 18th hole gave us a half point in the morning and a birdie in the afternoon secured my first singles win for @hampshiregolf

I’ll live on that 3W for a long time!

Postcards of a Dad vs Lad match up

The results of the story poll were heavily backing my dad, maybe some insider knowledge I didn’t know about pre handicap negotiations!

Watch till the end to see who picked up the win 🏆

STONEHAM TROPHY - T21
RD 1 (+4)
RD 2 (-1)

Haven’t played in too much recently with a lot going on outside of golf, but great to get back in the mix with some respectable golf. I finished RD1 with 5 bogeys in a row and ended RD2 with 4 birdies in 5 holes 😅

Swings and roundabouts this game, none of it ever really makes sense but I love trying to make sense of it.

Looking forward to the next event 📈
