Fun BOTW. Can’t wait to lose all of my skin on these during chalk and awe. hopefully they’re used for a midrange boulder so more people can try them. This session is my MJ flu game (if he chose to recover before playing) by @mitchellklimbs

Read this 🔥 I started (re?)reading Hosftadter’s Gödel, Escher, and Bach since I never finished it— which surprises me because of how awesome it is to read. Any given chapter makes totally unrelated concepts make sense (in this book, math (godel ), art (esher), and music (Bach). The main point of the book is self reference and the difficulty in reconciling paradox with laws that we try to live by (by my small understanding).

For example, the sentence “this sentence is false” is hard to reckon with for obvious reasons. How can a sentence (is it even a sentence?) that breaks the rules of the system it was created by created by it? I’m not smart enough to understand or explain it considering I haven’t finished it but it’s pretty good. He was also heavily influential on AI development way back then.

Another good example of self reference is this piece. It’s Back 1080 14 aka the B-A-C-H fugue because it is built on the theme of those 4 notes. (The note H in the German system is B to us while B in German is Bb). Self reference 1. Fugues are inherently self referential in multiple ways as well. Wild stuff. Anyways he died midway through writing this piece.

Side note- this climb was fun idk what that highest hold was for. Staticell by @mitchellklimbs

I think my ankle would’ve died if I missed that dyno but crux is actually the left hand move. Scary to do on my ankle but I locked in like Germany or else I would’ve been up all night thinking about how I should’ve done it by @mitchellklimbs
