FilmLaab proudly presents: our 2025 showreel—Vol 02. This represents the culmination of a year of ground-breaking work, mind-bending creative, and concerted effort from our entire team.

Our showreel highlights over 37 client projects and a few pieces we did just for ourselves. It’s designed to show our range and our love for good cinema. But, it also marks a new beginning for FilmLaab.

This is next iteration of FilmLaab’s story, Vol 02: Avant Garde. We are the differentiators. The benders of will through creative force. You won’t just witness what’s next, you’ll feel it.

“Find Your Pace” — a piece we created for @on to showcase the parallel between overcoming in both a mental and physical sense.

18 minute BTS / LaabTakes episode dropping on YouTube tomorrow morning — this has to be one of our most value packed episodes yet.

Big thanks to the team who worked so hard to pull this off in just 1.5 shooting days.

It’s amazing what you can do with hard work and sticking with it for longer than most. What a team. What a great production this week. @filmlaab taken in Salt Lake City, Utah by @mitchellthayne

I’ve never won the lottery but I left a marriage that hurt me thinking I’d probably never know love- then a few years later meeting this dream boat on a shoot both doing what we loved. Both immediately crazy about each other and now building our dream life.

I’ll take these winnings any day. by @mitchellthayne

New “Closing the Gap” episode out on my YouTube.

Shared some special moments spending time with my wife @meaganthayne and kids on a family trip in Oregon, as well as some of the thoughts I had about creative direction and the way I want to approach things moving forward while building @deadlast.run and @filmlaab by @mitchellthayne

A LaabTakes episode from the heart, link in bio.

We flew to Africa to document the water crisis alongside @waterimpactnetwork , a nonprofit installing and maintaining wells in rural villages.

We take you behind the scenes of the entire journey, the highs and the lows, and everything it took to capture the footage for a short documentary on the work being done to bring clean water to the communities that need it.

This is a raw look at what it takes to shoot a documentary in Uganda. by @mitchellthayne

Feeling excited, feeling grateful. @deadlast.run fall ‘26 drops next Friday. by @mitchellthayne

That new @deadlast.run package feeling.

Been waiting weeks for these shooting samples for our Fall ‘26 campaign and they’re finally here.

Right now DEADLAST feels like a hundred things happening at once.

Late samples.
Shoot dates coming fast.
Site changes.
Creative.
Copy.
Campaigns.
A million small decisions no one else will ever see.

Everything feels like it matters, and everything feels like it needs to happen right now.

It’s exciting. It’s stressful. It’s messy.

And then on top of that, I’m still trying to run @filmlaab , be a good husband and dad, stay present at home, and keep up with all the other things life asks of me.

But then box shows up with something we’ve been working on for months.

I hold it in my hands and remember that we’re actually building this thing.

People are wearing it. Running in it. Showing up. Believing in it with us.

And even in the middle of the stress, that feels pretty beautiful.

I’m tired, and grateful.

I have a feeling I’m going to miss these days.

Grateful to do it with my guys @thelucaslogs / @mikeevery1 / @lukebwilde / @austinkbrady / @halsten_thayne / @bestiemedia.co / @austinclare by @mitchellthayne

We went to the Oregon Coast as a family and it delivered everything we needed and more.

We don’t get a whole lot of time just the four of us with life and two growing businesses so this time meant the world to me.

My favorite moments were watching the kids squeal as they would run in the waves. It was cold and they were fully clothed but man those waves might have well as been Disneyland. They don’t need much and I’m going to fight to keep it that way as long as I can.

It’s crazy to me what a reset nature can be for our mental health. All the green and clean air really just calms the nervous system.

What a great privilege it is to get to experience this beautiful world Heavenly Father created for us 🤎 by @mitchellthayne

What separates a $3K freelance video from a $100K+ commercial production?

@mitchellthayne, founder of @filmlaab, breaks it all down in our latest episode. We talk bigger budgets, building a production company, hiring a team, making payroll, and what brands are actually paying for at that level.

Comment “MITCHELL” and we’ll send you over the ep 🤝🏼 by @mitchellthayne
