This Pride Weekend (Aug 1 & 2), every drink makes a difference. 🌈💚

A portion of our net drink and food sales will be donated to SOGI 123, supporting safer, more inclusive learning environments for children and youth across BC.

At Mitchie Matcha, we believe every child deserves to grow up feeling seen, respected, and free to be themselves. Investing in inclusive education today helps build a kinder, more compassionate tomorrow—and that’s something worth raising a matcha to.

SOGI 123 is an educational framework that empowers educators to transform teaching and learning environments for the better. Education that is inclusive of all sexual orientations and gender identities (SOGI) reduces homophobia, transphobia, and other forms of discrimination inside and outside of the classroom.

ARC Foundation created SOGI 123 to help schools create clear expectations for inclusion and respect. Every dollar raised for SOGI-inclusive education increases our capacity to create positive change for 10,000+ students and support to 2,500+ educators every year.

starting july 27, we’ll be updating our hours:
☀️ weekdays: 10am–6pm
🌿 weekends: 10am–7pm

this was a data-driven decision based on our customer traffic over the past several months. as much as we love seeing our amazing regulars who stop by between 8am and 10am, there simply weren’t enough visits during those hours to justify staying open while balancing labour costs.

these changes help us build a more sustainable business so we can continue serving the matcha (and treats) you love for years to come. 💚
to our early birds—thank you for making our mornings so special. we can’t wait to see you starting at 10am instead.

CALLING ALL ALNST FANS! In honour of Mizi’s birthday (August 20th), we will be hosting a fan event at Mitchie Matcha Cafe on Sunday August 23, 2026! Come celebrate with our featured cosplayer, @dori.saurus as Mizi and shop ALNST merch by @xaintjpg in store! We will also have a DIY Gacha Keychain making station just a 2 minute walk away from the cafe! Come join us for an afternoon filled with ALNST themed food and drink, as well as music.

Question for our community based in or working in Surrey!

We have an exciting opportunity that just came up that would give us a week long popup spot in Surrey. Before we move forward, there are a few questions that we need answered before we can commit.

1. Hours of Operation - should we be open at 8am or 11am? The last pop up tenant (coffee) indicated that pre-work hours were better for them, but our data currently shows that we are much more of an afternoon hang out spot. Does that data carry over to Surrey? When would you like for us to be open from?
2. Location - this is inside a residential building (ground floor) near Surrey City Hall/Surrey Central Station. Is this a spot that you’d come out to if you’re in the Surrey area or is this location inaccessible?
3. Our menu - since this is a popup space, we won’t be able to offer our full menu. What items would you like to order? Just drinks? Any food?
4. Employees - does anyone want to work this popup? It’s a week long contract gig, starting August 28, with 1 day of training at our Vancouver cafe. Send us an email with your resume if you’re interested!

Would love to hear your thoughts! We’ve never done a popup in Surrey before, and don’t have any data to utilize that would help us make a decision, so we are opening the floor up to our community! 🍵💚

NEW MATCHA PARFAIT 🍡🍨🌱

this sweet treat craving remedy is made with layers of our shizuoka matcha, venetian cream, strawberries, cornflakes, blueberries, red bean, dango, and pocky.

Bonus: although this parfait is mostly vegan, we can remove the pocky & whipped cream to make it fully vegan for you! Just ask our staff 🥄🌟
