I was just scrolling through some of my old IG posts, smiling at different moments, different ideas, different versions of me… and I had a realization:
I’M GOOD! 🙌🏾
And I don’t mean that in a conceited way. I mean I stopped for a moment and really considered God’s creation.
I’m creative.
I’m gifted.
I’m growing.
I’m a pretty good representation of what God’s favor looks like on a life. 🙌🏾
Sometimes we spend so much time noticing what we need to fix, change, improve, lose, gain, or become that we forget to appreciate what God has already created.
The Bible says we are fearfully and wonderfully made.
And today I looked at myself and thought…
God took His time with me. 😂🙌🏾
That’s not conceit. That’s confidence.
Confidence that “He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it…” — Philippians 1:6
I’m still becoming.
I’m still growing.
I’m still learning.
But I can appreciate the masterpiece while God is still working on it.
So now I want YOU to do what I just did.
Stop for a minute. Look at yourself. Consider your gifts. Consider what you’ve survived. Consider how you’ve grown. Consider the things that come naturally to you that somebody else wishes they could do.
Then tell yourself:
“I’M GOOD! God did a GOOD job when He made me, and He’s not finished with me yet!”
Don’t shrink yourself trying to appear humble.
You can give God all the glory and still recognize that what He created in you is WONDERFUL. ❤️
Now tell yourself what I just told myself…
HE TOOK HIS TIME WITH ME! 🙌🏾😂
Love y’all! ❤️ by @mitchsings8
