Due to car trouble, we stranded for a day in Martigny (Switzerland) this Summer. As soon as we left the car at the garage for repair, we looked up things to do in the area. Soon we found VerticAlp - a daytrip including a mountain train to La Châtelard, a steep funicular, a panoramic train and another (mini-)funicular. All while having clear sight of the Mont Blanc 🏔️⁠

At the top, you could go for a hike across the dam, visit a mountain hut in the distance, go for drinks at a restaurant or even go ziplining. As we didn't plan to go here at all, we were very happily surprised! So, from one traveler to another, I would pin this location on your Google Maps :)⁠

Ever seen water this blue? 🔵 Glacier water get their color from rock particles called glacial flour. These particles reflect sunlight with blue or green light waves, while absorbing red and yellow ones. This is why all glacier lakes look either bright blue or green😍⁠

A day in Sweden with @kjakreizen 🇸🇪 From camping in the wild and canoeing on empty lakes, to drinking water straight from the source and teambuilding with your friend, partner or a family member. A week in a canoe really disconnects you from the world for a little while, and I couldn't recommend it more! 😍⁠
