Mr. Manoj Sharma is 55 and a new content creator who recently launched his book Tiny Tales Big Wisdom and went viral with a couple of reels.

In the last one year, as a team, we have worked closely with him as an author, and here are three very important things that he has taught us in marketing.

The first is that he focused on a personal approach first for his marketing and then went to the professional space with unknown readers.

Most people today think that my friends would never support me by purchasing a book, and they'd never send the link to them, thinking, “मैं छोटा हो जाऊँगा या मैं छोटी हो जाऊँगी।”

Manoj sir didn't do that. He started sending the link to all his friends and family, and he wasn't ashamed or afraid of asking for help or support in getting sales from people he knew.

Most first time authors stop here, hence sales stop. But, Manoj Sir encouraged his readers (friends and family) to read the book, spoke to them, asked their feedback- that got them on board with the book. And their feedback helped him understand the audience better.

He saw children sending picures with solved riddles- 90% of his first readers were so excited for the next part already.

That gave the book an initial push, which later helped in word of mouth. Of course, the content was so good that people ended up recommending the book to multiple people out there, and in no time, we sold the first print run.

The second thing that he did throughout his journey was focus a lot on reviews.

So Manoj sir reached out to people who purchased his book, and he knew about it, right? Anyone who shared the screenshot, he asked them to post a genuine review.(good/ bad whatever) That helped in building trust online.

The third thing is that he focussed on both online and offline events. This helped push sales a LOT! There were events where we went with 100 books, and had to bring more from the warehouse.

Manoj Sir's consistency is his Brahmhastra!

He is taking marketing workshops for a lot of people out there. So, if you are interested in doing a one-on-one session on book marketing with us or with Manoj sir, dr by @mithaasservices

For the longest time, many book coaches have been guiding authors the wrong way. 90% of the self-proclaimed bestseller coaches do not even have a single bestseller on their name. But, they have been misleading the authors against publishers because that serves their business purpose.

While some of the coaches are genuinely so authentic and good, it becomes heartbreaking for us as a publisher to see few others just making distorting and heavily scandalous statements.

In this reel, we will bust those lies.

Lie: An author can become a bestseller by using tools and getting at Number 1 on Amazon moments after book launch.
Truth: Manipulating any platform is wrong, be it Amazon, or bestselling charts. And even if you get that Number 1, you would have 0 readers. What's the point then?

Lie: Publishers are all manupulators.
Truth: Like every industry, there are good and bad agencies. Some publishers are good, some aren't. But, you can't generalise by putting everyone under one roof. (Considering most book coaches have their own publishing units that charge for services, smart authors would know why so much hate for publishers)

Lie: You can write a bestseller in xyz days.
Truth: Writing a book is an art, not a marathon. One needs to focus on creativity before anything else.

Lie: You can do it all yourself.
Truth: You can't. As an author, either you take writing as a full-time business/ professional. Or, you need expert guidance to work. Either you invest, have your trial and error, or you need someone to do it for you. DIY Publishing sounds fun, but is actually extremely tiring.

See, like I said, not every coach is lying to you, but those who are, it's important to ask logical questions to them before paying hefty publishing fees to them!

Ask these questions:

1. What will be my book's offline distribution?
2. Will you participate in book fairs?
3. Who takes marketing ownership?
4. How does royalty works?

I have been doing 1:1 sessions with many authors who have been feeling dejected by such false claims. In case you wish to republish your book with a genuine publishing house, drop us a DM for a consultation call. taken in India by @mithaasservices

Give your child wisdom they can carry for life📚

This book introduces children to simple teachings of Bhagavad Gita through relatable stories, colourful illustrations and interactive activities. Krishna guides children through everyday challenges involving friendship, emotions, effort, helping others and self-confidence.

📚 REVIEW: Tiny Tales, Big Wisdom is a sweet and engaging way to introduce children to the values of the Bhagavad Gita. Instead of presenting teachings directly, the book turns them into simple stories that children can easily relate to.

What makes it more enjoyable is the interactive element. Every story is followed by activities such as riddles, colouring, drawing, reflection exercises and fun games, making it much more than a regular storybook.

The language is simple, the illustrations are cheerful, and the lessons encourage children to understand emotions, focus on effort, help others and develop a positive mindset.

Overall, a thoughtful combination of stories, spirituality and activity-based learning for young readers.

📚 STRENGTHS:
• Simple and relatable stories
• Gita-inspired values
• Fun activities and colouring
• Child-friendly illustrations
• Teaches emotional and life skills

📚 TARGET READERS: 5–12 years

📚 GENRE: Children’s Activity Book

📚 RATING: 4.4/5

Many parents complain that their kids don't read. But here are 5 mistakes they make:

1. Making "Books" as a subject and not a hobby. You know, I see kids every where - in schools, book fairs and they love when they choose a book for themselves- but when parents "force" them to read, they start finding reading as boring.
2. Some parents choose books for their kids rather than letting them do that. This makes all the difference. Of course, check age appropriate but let the child make the final choice.
3. Before telling you child to read, ask yourself "do you read?"
4. Don't make reading a task- make it a lifestyle. Read yourself, enjoy with your child!

Just remember, a relationship with books is very personal. Try keeping away from the relation between your child and their books. Let them enjoy with the characters!

If you'd like us to share book recommendation list for kids, write "books" in the comments and I'll share this personally in DM✨️ by @mithaasservices

I have been seeing a lot of authors share content about publishing a book these days. Some authors have shared some really good tips but some end up just making sensational posts with zero logic. In this post, I am going to try and bust myths about the Indian publishing industry!

Hi,

I am Devanshi, a publisher from last 10 years and an author from 15 years.

Myth: Self Publishing is BAD
Fact: Bad publishing is BAD. Self publishing is a good way to reach an audience. Let readers make the choice

Myth: Only big authors make money
Fact: Many Mithaas authors recoup their package cost in less than 1 month. It's about the efforts and marketing strategy. (We are a partnered publisher)

Myth: Big authors got it there by luck
Fact: I've seen so many authors stay right there, work hard so they could be at the Bestselling charts today.

Myth: You can do it all yourself- edits, cover, printing
Fact: You'll end up spending 5 times, and end up with mediocre writing and shoddy edits

I am doing this series where I am talking about publishing, writing a book and my journey in this space. Drop me a text to discuss about your book. I also take 1:1 sessions for writers who seriously wish to see their dream come true!

Garmi ki Chhuttiyaan is an anthology that has multiple stories about the beautiful memories related to the summer vacations you would have had.

Someone wrote about achaar, someone wrote about spending time at their Nani’s house, someone wrote about mangoes, and someone wrote about the trains.

But everyone had one thing in common: the feeling of living those vacations.

What was that one thing you did in your Garmi ki Chhuttiyaan? Tell us in the comments below.

And if you’d like to get this book, it’s available on Amazon and Flipkart. Go and grab a copy right now!

Hi,

I am Devanshi and most of you know me as a publisher and successful author. But years ago, when I started writing as a teenager, I made many mistakes (which I am sharing here so you can avoid in your books)

1. Writing the first draft is not a big achievement. It's honestly just you talking to yourself- you will have ups and downs, lows, feeling of giving up. But the only way of fighting it is write it and get over the first draft. Move to the next one.
2. Even when you try super hard, you can't have a plot that no one ever thought of. Stop chasing uniqueness in it. Start looking at narration with unique tones. Explore voices.
3. When I started writing, I hated the idea of feedback- because it was my baby, right. But, I realised, one should have a filter between criticism for good and random thoughts people share. Using criticism helps.
4. Lastly, I often missed the structuring my story as a fiction writing in the initial days. Today, I feel doing that helps me a lot. It's simple:

Write the story line, create action plan pointers, identify twists and then narrate.

You'll see yourself writing more powerfully.

In case you find yourself in my shoes anywhere or anytime, drop us a DM. My team will help you schedule a call with me to discuss the block, the book writing journey. I take 1:1 sessions and I also help in writing and completing your dream book because my 10 book experience should be useful, no?
