HAVING TROUBLE SETTING?

Are you a good player who’s having trouble getting better beach volleyball partners? It might be your setting.

Are you constantly setting your partner too tight?

Are you having trouble aiming and setting accurately?

Are you just plain inconsistent?

I can almost guarantee this will help you set better:

1. Lower your approach and stance when setting. Every professional beach player approaches the set with a low, wide, athletic stance.

2. Get your hands up in the shape of the ball earlier. Every professional beef setter that hand sets has their hands up early ready to control the ball out of the air.

3. Point your elbows out wider. Sometimes when you have a problem setting people to type it is because your elbows are too narrow and are projecting the ball too far forward. Widening out the elbows will help the ball fly in a more up-and-down Apex.
