Gridlock on Governors Island

Had the pleasure of going to view Volkswagen (VW) Gridlock, the epic vintage Volkswagen show, today at Governors Island. A collection of unique, vintage Volkswagens from across the years, including iconic models like the Beetle, Bus, Karmann Ghia, and Thing.
Made me nostalgic.

When you are tasked with making the decorations for your mom's 90th birthday, you go all out.
- Money Bouquet, yep....real money
-45 souvenirs with candle because she lights up our life
- table bouquet with distorted flower
- Grecian column balloon (the topper was switched out later for a round 24" balloon)
She loved all of it.... 🎈

Attended the Elle World immersive experience at the @halldeslumieres It was a one day immersive pop-up experience to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of @legallyblondemovies and to promote the upcoming Amazonprime prequel series - Elle.
There were product giveaways and swag. A nostalgic yearbook photo studio, runway, and various themed photo spots. GRWM makeup stations, an exhibit of Elle's clothes, Elle's desk complete with a sequined gavel and glittered notebook.
Live improv, a "Bend & Snap" drag showcase (which I didn't stay for 😢) and a Legally Blonde-themed trivia game show.

I heard there were going to be appearances by the cast of the new Elle series and legacy stars from the original Legally Blonde film.

* Even the barricades were pink! It definitely Elle World

Hard to believe it's been 25 years already!

When you look through your prized collection of Playbills and find one from 2004 -the production of "Drowning Crow" starring @realalfrewoodard and a young up and coming @anthonymackie (whom I had met a little while before going to see the show)

This production was based on Anton Chekho's - The Seagull but it was set off the coast of South Carolina. It was so powerful you walked out feeling as if your soul had been wrong out? by @mitty35

Balloon Calendar 🗓️

June 5- National Donut Day 🍩

This annual holiday, established by The Salvation Army in 1938, honors the "Donut Lassies" who served snacks to soldiers during World War.

Bonus - my donuts are calorie free! 😂
