A few months ago, I travelled to Belgium to interview Antwerp-based fashion designer @juliekegels for @systemmagazine’s Studio Visit series.

I spent time at her studio, met her team, and spoke with her about the realities of being a young designer today - balancing the creative side of the work with the challenges of building and running an independent fashion business.

From the beginnings of the Julie Kegels label to some of her most recognisable pieces - including the glitter skirt, the Triple Bag and the Boobs Sticker - she shared the stories, references and ideas behind her work.

She also took me to some of her favourite places in Antwerp, where she finds inspiration - including the church she visits with her sister to pray for good weather ahead of her Paris Fashion Week shows.

A school like no other. For @systemmagazine, I interviewed graduating students and former alumni of @lacambremodes during its anniversary show. With @tony_delcampe at its helm, the school has been home to generations of designers. We spoke about their time at La Cambre, the memories they still carry with them, and how the school helped them build their own creative world.

On the occasion of the 40-year retrospective of @inezandvinoodh, "Can Love Be A Photograph", at @kunstmuseum.nl in The Hague, I had the pleasure of interviewing the duo on their longstanding collaboration for @systemmagazine.

The show is not presented chronologically but thematically, and it really makes you realize how ahead of their time they were – and still are. Some of the works feel more anchored in the present than ever.

The photographs bring together so many figures, from Madonna, Prince to Rihanna and Lady Gaga, alongside major fashion houses such as Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton and Gucci. Seeing all of this in one space confirms one thing: love can truly be a photograph.
