Underground Moon is a Toronto-based DJ with roots in the UK underground sound. DJing since 2019, she draws inspiration from a lifelong connection to music, having played piano since 1996 and spent years digging for sounds from different scenes and countries.

Her sets move between soulful house, UK garage, drum & bass, deep house, bass house, future bass, breaks, and dub, with a focus on groove, low-end pressure, and tracks that carry character. Rather than sticking to one genre, Underground Moon approaches DJing as a way to connect different sounds and moods while staying true to the energy of the dancefloor.

She has played at venues including Spice Lounge & Tapas, Capones, and Bassline, bringing a thoughtful selection of underground records and bass-driven rhythms to each set. For Underground Moon, DJing is less about following trends and more about sharing music that deserves to be heard. Follow them at @moonisactuallymylastname

It’s our final Open Decks at Mixology and my last set for now at @insomniatoronto after 2.5 years of curating this night. I’d love to make it one for the books. ✨

At 10pm I’ll be opening the floor one last time as resident DJ and curator of Mixology. Building this space, shaping its sound, and watching this community grow has been an amazing experience. I’d love to close it out together with everyone who has made it so special, with good tunes, and in true Mixology spirit some playfulness 🖤

Expect rotating DJs, genre-fluid selections, and a whole lot of love.

The Rules:

1. First come, first served — sign-up sheet will be by the decks
2. 3 tracks per DJ — uno, dos, tres, you’re out!
3. Keep it fun — we’re still a restaurant, so keep your selections suited to the space ❤️
4. Come to learn and share — this isn’t a competition. Open Decks has always been about testing yourself, picking up tips, and lifting each other up. DJing is better when we do it together.
5. USBs only — keeps things moving with our 3-for-3 format. We’re on CDJ 3000s and an A9 mixer.

Come drop in, move with me, and let’s send Mixology off in good spirits 🌸🖤

It’s been a pretty amazing couple of years for Mixology 🌸

We’ve seen endless amounts of talent come through our doors, so much beautiful energy, kindness and so many memories. We can’t thank everyone enough for sharing in the enjoyment of music and community.
