I run across a lot of people in this engineering game on a daily basis. It’s one thing that I find that separates the real ones from the wanna be engineers.
Listening is one thing but knowing what you’re hearing a completely different level of the game . Being an engineer is a title that a lot of people try to take on but only a few can hold 🎚️💯 Study the craft because it’s more than just listening; it’s training, practice, learning, and time in the game that gets you to the next level

Peep the difference for yourself 🤷🏾‍♂️ Had a tracking session with @nephfromtheeburrr for a new project she’s working on and this was the demo she left with 🔥
To start, Her raw cut vocals were already 😮‍💨 which speaks to the tracking process with ya boy 😎 HOWEVER, the demo she left the session with, which can be heard on this A/B test, with and without the instrumental, lets you hear a deeper comparison of what an engineer’s job really is about 💯🎤

The next stage in the project process should flow from one to the next. It’s guaranteed the mix engineer will not have a lot of heavy lifting to do to get this project to the next level from where it’s at now 🎚️🚀💯
