Most people don’t fail in music because they aren’t talented. They fail because they quit too soon.Music career advice I NEEDED at 18, not 24:1. Nobody is paying attention yet. That isn’t a curse. It’s freedom. You can experiment, make mistakes, release imperfect songs, and figure out who you are without thousands of people watching.Use this time wisely.2. Stop trying to “find your sound.”Your sound isn’t hidden somewhere waiting to be discovered. It develops through repetition.Write more songs. Finish more ideas.Your identity as an artist gets clearer through action.3. Being obsessed is normal.Staying committed when it stops being exciting is rare.Everyone loves the dream. Very few people love the process.4. Stop asking if it’s good enough.Ask if it’s finished.Perfection has delayed more careers than lack of talent ever will.Done teaches you something.Perfect teaches you nothing.5. Progress doesn’t usually feel exciting. Most growth happens in private. It’s writing when inspiration isn’t there. It’s recording when the views are low. It’s showing up when nobody expects you to.6. Nobody is judging you as much as you think they are. Most people are too busy worrying about their own lives.Post that song.Upload that reel.Send that email.Take the chance.7. You are not behind. But you will be if you keep waiting for the perfect time to begin.Confidence usually comes AFTER you’ve taken action. Not before. If you’re 18…you have more runway than you realize. If you’re 24…you have more time than you think.Either way…the best time to start was yesterday. The second best time is today.Finish the track.📌 Save this for the version of you that’s thinking about giving up.📥 Share this with an artist building something bigger than a hobby.👇 Which one hit you the hardest?#independentartist #musicproducer #motivation #trusttheprocess #artist by @mixedbyschnoop

Most songwriters think better songs come from writing more.I would say they come from understanding WHY people connect with music in the first place.Learning the 1+5+7 Rule changed the way I write:1️⃣ Goal: Make people FEEL something. Before you finish a song, ask yourself:• What makes someone want to replay this?• Where does the emotion hit hardest?• What part of this song will they remember tomorrow? If you can’t answer those questions……your listener probably can’t either.—5️⃣ Things the human brain loves in music:Studies on musical preference have found that listeners are naturally drawn to songs that create a balance of:• Familiarity• Surprise• Tension• Release• RepetitionToo predictable? People get bored.Too random? People disconnect. The best songs give listeners just enough of both.—7️⃣ Elements found in memorable songs• Strong melodies• Catchy lyrics• Repeated ideas• Dynamic energy shifts• Emotional honesty• Intentional structure• Moments people can’t stop singing backGreat songwriting isn’t just saying something. It’s saying it in a way that people want to experience again and again.📌 Save this for your next writing session.🎤 Share this with an artist who’s trying to write better songs.👇 What’s one thing you’ve learned that instantly improved your songwriting?#songwriter #songwriting #musician #songwritingtips by @mixedbyschnoop
