The @hopehouse_lhtx Flood Relief BENEFIT SHOW was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who came out to spread some joy around. Thank you to the amazing group of local businesses for your donations. Thank you to the amazing musicians that shared their art. Thank you to @papa_ts_pizza for slinging pies. And thank you to @blacksparrowmusicparlor for being a wonderful host for this event. We even had a little media coverage from @kvuenews .

I am so happy, grateful, hopeful, and just a little tired. 😉

Love you, mean it, bye. taken in Black Sparrow Music Parlor by @mixtapetx

Here’s just a taste of some of the special items donated by some amazing Taylor local businesses and patrons for our show TOMORROW. 100% of proceeds will be donated to Hope House.

For almost 60 years, Hope House has been a forever home for children and adults with profound intellectual disabilities. From building homes that feel like home, to offering the most specialized care, to hiring and equipping caregivers who become like family—they’ve been relentless in their pursuit of joy, dignity, and belonging.

On July 5th, The Texas floods completely devastated HH. They lost one of their organization buildings along with their beloved friend and HR Director, Sherry Richardson.

They have endured so much loss in this flood, but what keeps them moving forward is the steady heart of the community. That’s why we’re throwing this benefit show and hoping to spread some joy around for the staff + our friend and executive director, Dave Gould.

Suggested donation of $10-$15 at the door. We’ll see y’all @blacksparrowmusicparlor !

Huge thanks to our local business community that donated to our silent auction:

@taylorbikecompany
@clowndogbikes
@haciendotx
@neighborhoodbottleshoppe
@curiomrvosa
@westerndarlin
@talbotcommonshotel
@kaspar_house
@ripple_and_rose
@texasbeerco

Huge thanks to our lineup of musicians:

@eeriefamily
@cast_of_thousands_
@kelleymcrae
@marycharlotteyoung
@ryandaletunes
@jwaylonl
@thesingingwino

AND big ups to our bestie @papa_ts_pizza for popping up! Get there early! It’ll sell out quick!💥 taken in Black Sparrow Music Parlor by @mixtapetx

Hi friends! 👋 Ryan here. When I heard about what happened to Hope House, I sent Executive Director Dave Gould a text message expressing my sorrow. He responded immediately and said, “Help me by finding some joy and passing it around a little bit.”

So, that’s what we are going to do. Please join us at this event, and if you can’t, find some joy and pass it around.

I’ll be teaming up with @papa_ts_pizza once again to help bring you some tasty za!

We’re really excited about the lineup and we’ll have a killer silent auction from some amazing small businesses:

@neighborhoodbottleshoppe
@curiomrvosa
@westerndarlin
@texasbeerco
@talbotcommonshotel
@kaspar_house
@karchmusic
@haciendotx
@ripple_and_rose

Love you, mean it.

Tomorrow we’ll be serving up your fave cauliflower tacos (chicken tacos too!) at the Dickey Givens center for a great cause!

We’re teaming up with @good_life_taylor & @taylor_film_society for a very special fundraiser—VENT MONEY Dinner & a Movie!

We’re raising funds to purchase and install a greatly needed fire suppression vent hood at Taylor’s emergency shelter. Without one, the shelter cannot become a licensed commercial kitchen. Currently, the staff and facility cannot serve hot meals to those seeking shelter.

Come watch THE PRINCESS BRIDE, enjoy some MIXTAPE catering and bid on the silent auction—let’s pitch in and get that Vent Money! 💰

Tickets are just about sold out! Head to the link in our bio to secure yours! taken in Taylor, Texas by @mixtapetx
