‘อาหารโฮมเมด’ Homestyle food sign for @miyaonlake

Designed in-house, inspired by vintage signage commonly seen above storefronts in Thailand.

Paired with Yantra sign on door we painted last year.

It’s always our pleasure to work with you. Thank you for having us! taken in Altadena, CA by @miyaonlake

And the flavor is…TOM KHA!! Some of you consider this your favorite Thai soup. Jessica and our friends at Carmela turned it into an ice cream, and we are blown away. Now serving at @carmelaicecream Pasadena location. Available at Miya soonish? Let us know what you think. by @miyaonlake

NEW TOY ALERT! Altadena’s first authentic Thai Samlor pedicab from Korat Thailand. I don’t think they have to contend with the hills we have here. Would love to electrify this and take you to Miya! taken in Beautiful Altadena by @miyaonlake

Waking up in Bangkok to this lovely review in the Los Angeles Times. Thrilled for my Miya family and @betsynotbetsys. The Altadena community vibe is real! Thank you @latimesfood and @bill_addison, who knows something or two about 80s nostalgia. See link in bio 🙏🏼 taken in Beautiful Altadena by @miyaonlake

Miya still doesn’t deliver. You can blame Cathy Chaplin @gastronomyblog. It’s not all her fault, of course. We’re happy to be free from third-party delivery fees and get to see our regulars, many of whom have become dear friends. But when we were deciding on whether or not to reopen. We floated the idea of doing delivery. We thought it would be slow, and didn’t want to be the reason people were coming to the area while warnings of poor air quality and such were out there. “I disagree”, Cathy advised. People need to come. They need to see. Of course, she was right. The news cycle came and went. LA Strong, Pasadena Strong, the concerts. Everybody feel better? Time to move on. So we did. Because that’s how my Gen X ass handles things. People did come. And many new customers did see. And thanks to all your support, we’re back, better and stronger than ever. Just like Altadena will be back better and stronger. Miya just turned 9. She’s lost 2 grandparents, survived Covid, her house. How could we not do it for her? To everyone that reached out and encouraged us along the way. Too many to name. I just want to say THANK YOU! We’re forever grateful and blessed to serve this community we call home, Beautiful Altadena. Rest in peace Christine Moore. You were an inspiration and guiding light to more people than you ever knew. I’m happy I got to tell you that. @caramelchristine 💔 by @miyaonlake
