Today,I’m immensely grateful.
There’s always something about my birthday, it makes me pause, reflect, and remember just how good God has been to me. But this birthday feels different, it feels personal.
Last year, I welcomed my son into the world,and stepped into a new version of myself that I’m truly proud of. My first birthday as a mother and my heart has never been fuller. That’s the best gift I have ever received. Becoming a mom has changed me, softened me, stretched me, and challenged me in ways I can’t even put into words.
My wish this year isn’t just for myself, it’s for many more years ahead so daddy @festergogi and I can give our perfect boy all the beautiful things in life.
Happy birthday Oluwafunke. You deserve to be proud, not because life has been perfect, but because you showed up anyway. Today, I honour every version of myself I’ve ever been: weak,soft, stubborn, scared, strong. Here’s to the woman I am still becoming. I pray that this next chapter is filled with answered prayers, growth in every area of my life, and a joy that cannot be shaken.
