Emery is 5 months old today!
Emery continues to get stronger and stronger with each day that passes. She has managed to roll over a few times, but I haven't managed to catch it on film yet. She can grab onto things with ease and laughs when her Mom tickles her. I believe she has some teeth coming, as she is always chewing on her hands or whatever she can get into her mouth. She is also starting to signal she is getting ready to try some solid foods as she is very interested in what I am earing.

At the end of July her Uncle Brock and Aunt Corinne came and visited Emery and it only took a few minutes for Emery to check out these new people before she giggled and smiled at them. Then at the beginning of August Emery went on her first flight✈️! We headed "home" to Minnesota to meet and see all of our family and friends there. Emery enjoyed meeting aunts, uncles, cousins, fairy Godmothers, in laws and friends. I wish I could get all the pictures with everyone in this post, but there are too many. She really loved time with her Grandpa and Grandma who couldn't get enough of those Emery smiles and snuggles! Emery especially enjoyed naps with Grandpa. Emery was an excellent traveler who didn't make a sound while on the plane. She rather enjoyed looking at everyone and then took that time as an opportunity to snuggle into Mom and take a nap. I look forward to more trips home and the next milestones that Emery will check off her list. by @mizmatters

Emery turned 4 months old on July 23rd. In the month up to this milestone she got to experience her first 4th of July, celebrating it in Glenwood Springs. While celebrating she went for her first swim at the world's largest hot spring which she found quite relaxing. It was so relaxing that she fell asleep afterwards in the locker room. Emery also got to meet Nick and Erin, one of Mom's friends while they visited from Washington. Her Mom returned to work and missed Emery every day. Her Dad kept up his antics, enjoying his role as her father. Both parents were always on the hunt for baby formula; filling their carts with the max allowed as they weathered the formula shortage. At her 4month check up she had gained a few pounds and grew a couple inches, so the formula scavenge was paying off. Emery showed off to all the nurses and took her 4 month shots like a champ. As she continues to grow she continues to steal our hearts more and more with each smile and snuggle she gives us. by @mizmatters
