This one is for the community of Cedar Heights. A community near and dear to me as I lived down the street fresh out of my parents house… it is there I discovered and began my passion. Walking the nearby train tracks and painting the abandoned areas I began to hone my craft.

I had the pleasure of hosting a workshop with the local kids in the community center to gauge what they wanted to see in their teen room. As a kid who grew up going to the occasional Xtreme teen nights at Goodluck rec I always wanted to hang out in a place that inspired me.

The girl on the left is a representation of women using their voices loudly and unapologetically. As a father to a young girl I believe this is extremely important to reinforce daily. The orange triangle represents the 3 orange line metro stations that this community sits in between (Deanwood, Cheverly, and Landover). The background is a computer circuit board representing knowledge and my career field. The kids requested a fast car and basketball illustrations so I had fun blending the two.

“I'm free. I just do what I want, say what I want, say how I feel, and I don't try to hurt nobody. I just try to make sure that I don't compromise my art in any kind of way, and I think people respect that.”

I'm a complete human being. I'm very emotional and loving. I feel, I hurt, I give, I take, and also I think. I analyze. I'm a sociologist, anthropologist.

This piece is symbolic of the 2 sides to my heart. Graffiti and murals… I didn’t know what to paint to so I decided to showcase both and push myself in a major way.

Transform the whole room… me vs myself.. I’m coming out on top

As a kid with ADD that couldn’t pay attention in class my passion turned from drawing in class and on the desk to illustrating my visions… give the kids something better to see.. an escape……… as I escape myself.

Thanks again @_unclewiink for trusting me on this project taken in Lanham, Maryland by @miztarious

🚨OUT OF CHAOS - SAVE THE DATE🚨
Artist Reception: Saturday, August 22
RSVP: Link in Bio ➡️ @Luis202Artist

@miztarious has been putting up burners everywhere a spray paint can reach, earning a reputation for consistently delivering clean, high-impact productions on walls, freight trains, and legal mural spaces alike. His work reflects years of dedication to the craft, with strong letter structure, confident linework, and an unmistakable style that balances classic graffiti traditions with a modern approach. It’s been great to watch his evolution from painting the streets to landing commissioned murals, proving that authentic graffiti skills can successfully transition into public art without losing their edge.

This exhibition features a unique group of artists who each have at least 15 years of illegal street art experience, a requirement to be included in the show. Their work reflects resilience, transformation, and the enduring influence of graffiti and hip-hop culture on contemporary art.

“BOYZ II MEN”
🎉🥳🎈🎊🎁🍾
As I sit back and reflect on another year around the sun this mural is a reflection of my growth as a person and as an artist. From Boyz to Men… this is about dreaming bigger and separating yourself from your environment to reach those dreams.. which is a necessity

From pawns to kings and sometimes back to pawns to realize what it meant to truly be a king.. Feeling like the chosen one but not being ready for the responsibility… teaching and still learning at the same time all the things I need for this journey… being malleable sitting in the knowledge and mistakes I’ve made along the way often times moving forward and backwards at the same time (hence the double sided ladder)… that little boy reaching for his dreams…

The silhouette is an image of my daughter always by my side in this life of creativity she pushes me..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME
