Yesterday, I competed in my 3rd bodybuilding show and this prep was different from all the others for sure! I’m proud of the package I brought to this stage. There are levels to this and it was an honor to stand next to every woman on that stage. We all sacrificed, worked, pushed, and fought to earn that moment.
Now, the after-show thoughts…
My goal was to beat my last stage debut and I DID THAT!
And now we go back to work. Because we got the job done, but we are not finished.

@tkcoaching_ Trey: Thank you for being an AMAZING coach. Your support, guidance, leadership, and precision throughout this prep were unmatched. Your plan was tailored specifically to me and my body responded exactly how we needed it to. There were moments I doubted myself, and you reminded me that I was exactly where I needed to be. Finish the job. Empty the tank. We did just that. Thank you for believing in me and pushing me through.
@bands_with_can Candance: When I started Bands W/ Can, I knew I was in the right place to grow and I gained so much more than that. I gained a friend and an entire community of strong, supportive women. Thank you for your love, encouragement, and support.
@ittybitty_boss @blueprint_posing Raven: My story can never be told without you. Thank you for rearranging your own schedule, especially while you were on prep too, so we could get those sessions in. I truly would not have been able to showcase this physique the way I did without Blueprint Posing in the mix.
We got better. We showed up. We finished the job. And now… we build.

October of 2023, My very first bodybuilding show. The picture of health, right? Not so much. Cancer was on that stage with me, but no one could see it,
not even me.
Life had other plans, and for the next year and a half, I fought like hell. I had to dig deep and let it know your girl had that DOG in her.‼️‼️🐕🔥
Three years later, God has blessed me to return to this very same stage. What I thought in 2023 were my best-laid plans being completely derailed, I now realize were only delayed.
I’m back with more strength, more faith, more gratitude, and a story I never knew I would have to tell.
Same stage.
Different woman.
Goal: Beat her.
And this time, I know exactly who I’m fighting for. ❤️‍🩹🏆 by @mizz_edwardz

Our Breast Cancer Awareness Workout was one for the books 💕

We came together to move our bodies, uplift one another, raise awareness, and most importantly, celebrate the incredible women who have faced breast cancer with courage and strength.

A special thank you to our beautiful honorees, @niaj3 , @ada_abs , and @mizz_edwardz , for allowing us to celebrate and honor your journeys. Your stories are a reminder that strength goes far beyond the physical. 💗

💕 The Way I Chose to Fight My Battle. 🎀
I chose to navigate my breast cancer journey with a smile on my face, laughter in my heart, and a positive attitude. Not because I didn’t understand the seriousness of the disease, the fear that came with it, or the battles I was facing, but because that was my way of coping, finding strength, and making it through. I made a conscious decision not to let cancer take away my joy, even in the moments when life felt uncertain.
💕I want to be clear! the way I chose to navigate my journey is in no way meant to diminish the seriousness of this disease or disrespect anyone who is still fighting, has fought, or has lost their life to breast cancer. Every woman’s journey is different, and we all cope in our own ways. My heart goes out to every fighter, survivor, and family who has been affected by this disease. You are seen, you are loved, and you remain in my prayers. 🙏🏽💗
💕If my journey has taught me anything, it’s that you can acknowledge the heaviness of life without allowing it to steal your light. Sometimes, smiling is strength. Sometimes, laughter is healing. And sometimes, choosing joy is how we make it through the darkest seasons.
💕Let’s continue to pour into one another, uplift each other, lead with compassion, and bring a smile to someone’s face. You never know what someone is carrying behind their smile or what battle they may be fighting in silence. A little kindness, encouragement, or love can mean more than you will ever know.
💕We may not all fight the same battle or fight it the same way, but we can all stand together. Let’s keep surviving, thriving, praying, loving, and reminding one another that even in the hardest seasons, there is still room for hope, joy, and gratitude. 🎀💕

Today was Amazing 🥺
✨Thank you @bands_with_can for honoring me today and creating such a special moment in recognition of my breast cancer journey. You have no idea how much this means to me. Sometimes, we show up to the gym to work on our physical health, but we leave with so much more. This space has been a place of healing, strength, community, and therapy for me, and I’m truly grateful to be surrounded by people who pour into me the way you have.
✨To my family and friends who took time out of their day to show up and support me, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your presence, love, and encouragement mean more than words can express. Having you here to celebrate life with me is a blessing I will never take for granted.
✨I also want to thank Thebodyshophtx for allowing us to celebrate here today. Thank you for opening up this space and making this moment possible. What better place to celebrate strength, resilience, and the power of the human spirit than in a gym, a place where we come to get stronger, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally, too!
✨My breast cancer journey was not one I would have chosen, but it taught me to appreciate life in a way I never had before. It reminded me that everyday is a gift. By the grace of God, I am still here, still standing, still working, and still chasing my dreams.
✨And to my fellow survivors who stood beside me today, I admire yall! let’s continue to survive, thrive, love, laugh, and live life to the fullest! We are more than what we’ve been through, and our stories are not over💕

✨My fitness journey began in 2021, after having my 5th and last child. I wanted to live healthier and be around long enough to watch my babies become adults. I didn’t know then that the gym would ultimately help keep me here.
✨2023 — First Show: I stepped on stage for the first time, not knowing breast cancer was already part of my story. Shortly after, everything changed.

✨April 2026 — After the Storm: This woman was simply grateful to be ALIVE and back on that stage. But the bodybuilder in me knew there was more to build.

✨September 2026 — The Comeback: This woman came back stronger, more focused, and determined. She meant what the hell she said. 🔥

✨2027 — Loading… And trust me… you’re going to want to stay tuned. 👀💪🏽

✨I had 19 weeks.

✨Got in the gym, put my headphones on and went to work. Stuck to my meal plan because bodies are really made in the kitchen.
That’s it.
No shortcuts.
No quick fixes.
✨Just a lot of long days, early mornings, and dedication to the love I have for this sport and wanting to show up my absolute best.

✨Time did its thang.
Now we build for 2027…

✨From ringing bells to gracing bodybuilding stages💕

✨The picture on the left was taken on my 20th and final radiation treatment. I was still in uniform because I would leave work on a short break, receive my treatment which took about 15 minutes and then return to work.
✨ Looking back, I can see the silver lining in so much of what I went through. Being able to continue working throughout both chemotherapy and radiation was truly a blessing. I know many others are not physically able to do that, and I never want to take that for granted.

✨Life becomes a little easier when you learn to look at the glass as half full instead of half empty. Even in the hardest seasons, there is something to be grateful for, something to learn, and something worth holding onto.
✨From fighting cancer to stepping back on a bodybuilding stage…

✨I’m simply grateful to be here. Stronger, more grateful, and still becoming. Super excited for what to come in this sport which I have absolutely grown to love.

LIVE (verb): to remain alive; to experience life fully; to make the most of the time you’ve been given.

✨One thing that my Storm taught me will be something I’ll never forget…life is not promised. Sickness, heartache, and even death can come without warning and when you real busy with shit to do!!!
✨I know what it feels like to have your world change in an instant and to realize just how precious an ordinary day really is.
✨So don’t wait for someday. Have fun. Love deeply. Laugh loudly. Make memories. Take the trip. Say what you mean. Do what brings you joy! Whatever that looks like for you.
✨You survived the days you thought you couldn’t. Now LIVE the life you fought so hard to keep!
