“I have a strong passion for the field of oncology because of many close personal experiences I’ve had with cancer patients through personal relationships developed when I volunteered in an oncology clinic. This led me to work in a lab on campus doing cancer research but I wanted to still be involved with oncology at a personal level that exceeds the walls of the lab, so I chose to get involved with NMDP!” 🐯🧬

“I joined NMDP because it makes a differences in people’s lives in real time. Being apart of such a passionate group of people that care about the registry and others is everything. Knowing that I could recruit someone that saves a life is what keeps me going and serving the community. My grandpa passed away from Multiple Myeloma when I was young so I never fully got the chance to meet him. Serving NMDP allows me to find cures for other people’s grandpas and family members so that they can spend time with them.” 🐯🧬
