Tuesday, was such a beautiful celebration of creativity, representation, and the power of dreaming BIG! 💜📚🎶 I had the opportunity to attend “An Evening with Lizzo,” celebrating Lizzo’s debut as a children’s author with Lil Lizzo Meets Sasha B. Flootin’.

The event was held locally at The Edison Arts Foundation which is under the leadership of Miss Charity Carter, making this event even more memorable! Excellent job Miss Charity Carter you are a blessing to this community and I am fortunate to be part of the FBAAD family.

Shout out to the AMAZING performances by ANDance Company, Marshall Mystics Dance Team, Kamryn Marsh, and Krystal Holmes.

There’s something special about seeing an artist we know for music step into a new space and create something designed to inspire the next generation.

It was wonderful hearing about the inspiration behind the book and the journey of bringing a story filled with music, imagination, confidence, and self-expression to young readers. 🎶✨

Congratulations to Lizzo on this exciting new chapter! 📖💜🎵

From Grammy to Storytime… she’s turning the page! ✨

They are growing so fast I can’t take it. But I’m glad they going back to school 👀. Teachers we gonna send yall whatever ya need lol. But real talk, I want to thank God for his covering over our children as they go back to school, thank you for preparing them to walk in your footsteps and make decisions that are in accordance with your will. Protect them from harm. Keep them focused and committed to learning more and more each day. Guide them as they navigate this new year. Keep their minds sharp. Remove any distractions that are not of you father and bring them home safely each and everyday. To my friends and family, I pray that everyone who has kids going to school have a wonderful school year. #Backtoschool #Sophmores #1stgrade by @mizzpurrsistentz22

Happy Birthday MY LOVE!!! I’m so happy to share this life with you. The Lord has truly blessed us and and I’m grateful that for the past 40 years of your life I have been able to share 17 years with you 😘. We literally have grown up together lol. Life doesn’t come with a handbook but you have done a wonderful job. One thing I truly admire about you is you have always been true to yourself and your resilience is unmatched. You are one of the strongest people I know. You are a my Rock, my hubby, my friend, my protector, children’s father, and the love of my life. I pray you have a wonderful birthday. This is such a milestone in your life and I hope you never dim your light. I LOVE YOU and I’m excited to celebrate you with family and friends this weekend. CHEERS TO 40 MY KING!!!!!
