in case you missed it, i got rebaptized yesterday as a symbol of my renewed commitment to living my life for Christ. this has been something ive been thinking about for years, but just decided to take the leap and do it this year. im so incredibly happy i did. i couldn't imagine being surrounded by any more joyful or loving human beings as i took that step. i can not begin to describe the joy and amount of celebration i was met with as i came up out of the water. dead to sin, alive in Christ. as @madisynd10 would put it, i left it in the water. the MOST grateful for my Savior and for the others who went under as well, including not two, but THREE wonderful friends. im so proud of y'all. i love you. by @mj.ten06

consider this my love letter to my time at OKWU, and enjoy some highlights from my 3 semesters in the Ville before i start at Sheridan college in a few weeks🥹❤️‍🩹

okay real talk though? Proverbs 16:9. i had my heart set on being at OKWU for all my college years. that's been my plan since i was in high school. i was so certain there was nowhere else for me. and for my freshman year? there wasn't anywhere else. the Lord brought me to that school for a reason. just not the reason i thought. getting sick and coming home was a blessing, even if it was the hardest choice ive ever made. i swore to everyone that i was going to be back in the spring, but God had already written the ending for me. i wasn't willing to accept it back in October, but my time at OKWU is over. i was never meant to be there permanently. God brought me to OKWU to deliver some of the best friends i could ever ask for, and to strengthen the relationships i already had. if youve heard my testimony, you know that my senior year of high school, i lost myself. and then God sent me to OKWU to find Him again and to find myself again. and He gave me people who helped walk me back. thank You Jesus for reminding me who i am. and thank You for giving me people who remind me who You are. thank You for sending me to OKWU and bringing me people who reflect Your heart for me so clearly. thank You for the adventure. thank You for every step ive taken, and even the ones i dont know about yet. thank You for Oklahoma Wesleyan University. thank You for Sheridan College. thank You for my family and my people, who never fail to show me You.
