Officially ending the Dragons season with the gala dinner.

If you ask me what my expectations were for this season, it was to make the playoffs and then build off of that. As you know, life works in its own way, and we can’t do anything but handle what’s in front of us.

Each loss, each practice, each day felt so heavy when nothing seemed to go your way. But there’s always a lesson in every situation, no matter how bad it is.

Yes, you can say there were days where there was no effort, no passion, no fight, and we can take the blame for that. I’m not saying my team or I never tried our best, but unfortunately, our best was still not enough.

My personal stats were great this year, and it’s my best statistical season to date. But honestly, it doesn’t mean anything because we didn’t make the playoffs, win a championship, or even win a damn game.

So my numbers don’t mean anything.

I’d rather win ugly than lose pretty.

I’d rather play 10 minutes and win the game than play 40 minutes, put up great numbers, and lose.

That’s just the way I see the game.

I’m not here to make myself feel better or find an excuse for how this season went. 0–20 is 0–20, and there’s no way around that.

But to anyone who is struggling right now or can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, here’s your reminder to keep going. Whatever you’re going through, you can get through it.

Are you healthy?
Can you feed yourself?
Can you go to sleep at the end of the day?
Can you wake up the next morning and try again?

If you can, then keep going.

Sometimes your best won’t be enough. Sometimes things won’t go the way you planned. Sometimes you’ll give everything you have and still come up short.

But that doesn’t mean you stop.

You wake up, you learn from it, and you try again.

Thank you to everyone who supported me and the Dragons throughout this season. ❤️

Out with the old, in with the new. 👟

Excited to hoop in the AE budget kicks. There’s just something about budget shoes that perform better and last longer. 😂

After 6 years, my Harden Stepback 2s are finally starting to rip… and only because I put thicker insoles in them. Otherwise, I’d still be hooping in them.

They’ve been my go-to practice shoes for years, so I know that if I ever need to wear them in a game, I can always rely on them.

Normally, I’ll wear different shoes in games for the aesthetics or simply because I enjoy switching between multiple pairs. But when it’s time to get busy on the court, my practice shoes get the job done. 🫡

All-black shoes, so you already know how I’m coming. 😏🖤

Can you “believe that”?
