🚨FIRST LOOK IMAGES for The Last Detectives, (formerly known as Old Town Murders), starring Mark Lewis-Jones, Steffan Rhodri, Bethan-Mary James, Jordan Davies, Julie Graham and Catherine Ayers. The series is written and created by Matthew Barry (Men Up, The Guest) for BBC iPlayer and BBC One in a co-commission with BBC Cymru Wales. Episode 4 is written by Hannah Daniel.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Pembrokeshire coastline, the pictures offer a glimpse into the investigations and mysteries that await. 👀

Grateful to be working with the incredible team at HBO, Susanne and the most supportive producers to bring this remarkable true story, in all its complexity, to the screen. by @mjbarry101

OLD TOWN MURDERS. And… we're off!!

"A story about friendship, reinvention and the courage to begin again later in life. And, of course, plenty of murders!"

I wrote this show for @marklewisjones64 and @steffrhodri after working with them on Men Up. Watching the rushes of their final scene, I text @russelltdavies63 saying how incredible their chemistry was. He replied: "Now there's a show. The Gruff Detectives!" So, I wrote it!

And here we are, just over three years later --
