“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard”
Ahhh here it comes. I know we all wish that this season would have ended another way, but here we are; no one could’ve ever known this would happen. Thank you to every hard practice, every long day, every tear, and every injury that has gotten me to today. Thank you to every single person I’ve had the honor to share the floor with who have taught me so much. These seasons have taught me more than any school would have. Thank you JMU Nuance for making every single dream I’ve had come true. Thank you to Carly and Jerry for taking a chance on me even though I was that annoying high schooler; this team is what it is because of you and your passion. I know I have so many words left to say, and this all feels so surreal right now, like this isn’t the way it was meant to end. Thank you for teaching me that roses are red, how to come in like a hurricane, that I’m not finished, and this journey will resonate with me for the rest of my life. Words aren’t enough to describe how I feel right now. This morning, it was Gizmo’s time to take his trip over the rainbow bridge. I knew we were on borrowed time, but it only made every second with him more precious. He’s been my best friend and my angel since FIRST GRADE! I’ll never forget how his ears were way too big for his body. Gizzy, you were there for literally everything, and I will never ever forget you or stop loving you. Let’s be real I love you more than most people 💕😂 Thank you for all the snuggles, kisses, laughs, and hair all over my house. I remember we used to put a sock over your head and just watch you wiggle around. Please don’t haunt us. I know there are unlimited belly scratches and food up there ✨ Save me a seat wherever you are! You were more than a dog, you were my everything, and I don’t really know a life without you in it. I’ll remember you and your stinky breath for as long as I live, and I can’t wait to see you again 💕 🌈 by @mjlover_98
