THE MASALA CHAI MYSTERY CLUB is out in the world!!
What an incredible whirlwind of a day pub day was!

Woke up and tried to do some writing, but couldn’t. I was too excited, too muddled, too nervous.

Of course, I had no reason to be worried at all.

Enormous thank you both to @banksquarebooks for having me & to @elissabass for making my first event such an incredibly fun night!

In spite of the torrential downpour that started two hours before my event so many of my wonderful friends and family turned up to share in the excitement with me.

And thank YOU all for being so kind and supportive, it really means a lot!! 💕💕💕

ARC REVIEW:

The Masala Chai Mystery Club by @mjsoniauthor is a fun and cozy read. The narrative pace was medium and I enjoyed the twists that came from time to time in the story which got me all excited. The plot was intriguing and the setting was exceptional which made me feel involved in it. The protagonist was Neeti who was a retired librarian and I loved her character a lot. She was the woman with grace, warmth and had all the leadership skills to lead this impromptu mystery club.

As the story progressed and all the other characters were introduced, it got more interesting. Each and every character had this unique personality which helped in the investigation of the murder. The friendship between Neeti and Peggy was adorable and I loved how they enjoyed each other's company. There were a lot of humor elements which made this story lighthearted. The motherly bond between Myra and neeti was heartwarming to read.The investigation got more interesting as each and every character was giving their input and playing their role effectively.

The fun character of this book was Lawrence, the way he quoted Shakespeare at any given circumstance was hilarious. Yolo, the dog played an important role and I enjoyed his presence a lot in the story. There were many references to mystery books and I personally love reading about books in the book. I would recommend people to read this book with a cup of chai and snacks because the mention of it in the book can make one hungry.

Overall I enjoyed reading this mystery a lot and I would definitely try the recipe of chai and snack mentioned in the book. If anyone loves a fun cozy mystery read then they should definitely read this book!!

By the time my dad turned 92 he had probably read a book a week since he was around 10yo.

Over the years he’s given away most of his books, except for these

From Hindu epics such as The Upanishads to domestic suspense by Harlan Coben

From DH Lawrence and Aldoux Huxley, to The Diary of Anne Frank

From the entire collection of Mahatma Gandhi’s autobiography to the entire Harry Potter series

From The Art of Compassion to David Baldacci and Lee Childs overload 🙈

I was so humbled to have helped make the last few weeks of his life as comfortable as I could. It’s never easy to lose a parent but I console myself with the thought of how lucky I was to have him and my mom for so many wonderful years.
