Long nights, hard lessons, and moments where nothing felt certain, but I kept going. Every struggle shaped me, every setback taught me something I couldn’t learn any other way.

Now I look back and realize how far I’ve come. From being doubted by others and myself, to building something I’m truly proud of. This journey in cooking hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it.

@sipandskewer is the concept I have been working on it’s an isakaya with Japanese beer and sake flowing and excited to open soon. New doors will open for me. @hiddenomakase is my home but I have my brothers holding it down so we can expand the dream. Great sacrifice and a lot of work but just keep pushing and climbing. Beyond grateful 🙇🏽‍♂️ come get some skewers, sando, or even onigiri by @mjuarez.24

Hidden Omakase kicked off its summer residency at Bar Moon last night with a Bluefin Tuna Breakdown Social, where Chef Marcos Juarez broke down an entire bluefin tuna and turned it into a series of bites throughout the evening.

The move comes after a vehicle crashed into Hidden’s original Galleria-area space in May, forcing a temporary closure for repairs. The team is bringing the experience to Bar Moon above Tavola.

The Hidden x Moon residency officially begins June 16 and runs Tuesday through Saturday, with just 12 seats per seating at 6:30 and 8 p.m., keeping the intimate, chef-led experience that’s made Hidden one of Houston’s most sought-after omakase counters.
