Ya girl is proud and honored as hell to be 1 of 12 screenwriters chosen for @the_writers_lab this year!!! Definitely screamed with tears of joy when I got the email - can’t believe I get to be part of such an incredibly talented group of badass women and nonbinary artists with important stories to tell. Taking it full circle back to NYC this November with @treojbfilm 🥹 #thewriterslab #treojbmovie by @mk.mcg

I want to thank @hollymadison for amplifying the voices of survivors like myself. It’s so important that creators like Holly with major platforms continue to speak out about the horrific realities women face every day. The link to the full episode is in my bio - there is really important info in there from Holly and also @cgetsnakey who is a trained SA advocate and speaks from a wealth of knowledge on the subject. I encourage you to check out the full episode. THANK YOU, HOLLY!!! 💗💗💗 #cornell #cornelluniversity #sasurvivor #hollymadison by @mk.mcg

TW: SA !!! Video divided up bc Instagram hates when I ramble. Anyway. Some thoughts on our current situation and some love to my fellow survivors (and Mariska and the entire #svu #lawandordersvu team who get me through the hardest times every time). Also: fck my r*pist, fck your r*pist, fck all r*pists, fck #cornell , fck #ucsd , fck all the universities who throw survivors out like trash and fck our legal system that’s built to protect those ( #men ) who cause the most harm. 🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻 by @mk.mcg

In light of the r*pe at #cornell #cornelluniversity @florencepugh has brought up something I’ve thought about for a very long time and which I only ever really spoke about during therapy. Violence, especially sexual violence, goes far beyond the damage it does to our body—there is a killing, or shattering, of the soul that happens as well. It is personal. Deeply personal. In many cultures around the world and for thousands of years there has been a belief that, during trauma, a soul is fragmented—pieces of your soul literally break away and explode into the universe to hide and preserve themselves in order to survive. It is a long and arduous process to call those pieces of your soul back home and there are many methods to aid in this type of healing, including Somatic Experiencing. I practiced SE for a long time—it is still a tool I use to this day and I credit it, and my therapist at the time, with saving my life. The breaking apart of a soul can manifest in a myriad of different ways. Sometimes it can be called “dissociation” which is why many trauma survivors, including myself, have long stretches of time that are completely blank in our minds. My assault, and subsequent assaults, happened during my first year of grad school. There are literal weeks of school, interactions with friends and classmates and teachers, that I have no memory of. This is why survivors have so much trouble being believed: our memories are broken, sometimes missing, and often unreliable—and no one is more terrified by it than we are—but it DOES NOT MEAN WE ARE LYING. It is so important more people understand the psychological and medical ramifications of trauma on the human brain. I just finished a treatment for a feature film that explores these ramifications within the framework of Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy… but that’s a story for another day. In the meantime, I want to thank every single person who has reached out with words of support and encouragement. I want to thank those who have also shared their stories: I see you. We can hold space for each other and call those pieces of our soul back home… together. by @mk.mcg

Best friends for over 20 years and lemme tell ya - there’s no one on the planet I’d rather have matching tattoos with more than these bitches right here (+ @bluminmagick !!). From NYU to LA and beyond, these women are my whole goddamn heart. We’ve been through so much together, but one sentiment will always endure: fuck the patriarchy and long live Lilith, always and forever. 🔥🗡️💀🍎💋✡️ by @mk.mcg

WOW. Just… wow. We won you guys. Out of over 3200 films submitted to @atlantafilmseries festivals this year, we won Best Narrative at the Atlanta Spotlight Film Festival, putting us in the top 20 films of 2025. @treojbfilm is the most personal work I have created to date, so to have it resonate so deeply with so many audiences is incredibly special for me. Please enjoy this photo of me from 2019, on the set of “The Re-Education of Jane Brown” - I will never feel more at home than on a dark film set, watching incredible actors like @katieparkerpics perform their hearts out, speaking words I’ve written with so much power and authenticity. Bravo. And a hundred million thank you’s to my beautiful little sister, @bluminmagick , who stepped in for me on the red carpet and to accept the award on my behalf - isn’t she RADIANT?!! Thank you also to Eric, Amy, Kelsey and the entire Atlanta Film Series team. Much love and I can’t wait to step into the world of the feature. Let’s goooooo 2026!! #indiehorror #indiefilmmaker #femalefilmmaker #womeninfilm #womeninhorror #horrorfilms #treojbmovie by @mk.mcg
