hello! it’s been a long while…i took a bit of time out to reconnect with the drawing, not always as something to be posted but just for the joy I find in it - it has always been the best way for me to reground and comeback into myself I spent the last few months drawing when I needed to still my mind, find downtime and space, and what came out of it was people finding rest in different ways… And so here is the first ‘Rest No.1’ (if anyone has another name for it very open to others!) Thinking to make this into a print, and so would love to know if it’d be something you think you or others would be interested in🍄 Also which Solange track do you think is on?🎶 by @mkartoons

Been a minute but a lot has been going on behind the scenes. More news shortly... First up, I am so excited to share with you Rebirth: Issue One, a created by creative writing collective @wbywcollective and featuring works from members of the collective plus amazing illustrators (I also have work featured) ✨✨ This zine feels extra special as it’s also something that I worked behind the scenes on as project lead, working with the amazing @zarashasorecreative and @discoqueenart - a big thank you to them and all who contributed💛 The zine was launched to celebrate Word by Word Presents, a new 12 month workshop series led by a range of incredible writers. The workshops are for anyone who would like to have a go, particularly welcoming people of colour, LGBTQ+ folk and other marginalised voices, and tickets are pay as you feel. To learnt more about the workshops and to sign up head to @wbywcollective ‘s profile by @mkartoons

Been a while since I’ve done some quick sketches, but trying to make it more of my weekly practise. Here are a couple🌱 by @mkartoons
Tb to featuring as @coopaudio associate artist in their incredible magazine, launched last year. Always have so much fun working with them, biggest love💛 by @mkartoons
Featuring in @sweetthangzine latest zine issue: HEALING - it’s such a beautiful publication, link in their bio to preorder the next print run✨ Really enjoyed the process of creating this and the introspection needed to think about what ‘healing’ could mean to me. Finding inner self acceptance is a lifetime journey, often times going at an uphill pace, but one that is so important - treating ourselves with the same love, care and understanding that we would those we hold closest. by @mkartoons
It’s been a while since any quick sketches. Here are couple.. Taking time out, drawing has always been a way to find comfort and space. by @mkartoons
