For the first time in 20 years I’m not worrying about taking the dog out again right before bed, or waking up earlier than I wanted to at the sound of nails pacing out in the hall. It’s not a good feeling. Our first two dogs were Goldens, one infinitely patient and a good natured doofus who welcomed our three boys into the family, the other a little temperamental but a good companion as they grew up. We loved them both. But the third was more like a friend. He was a rescue, the runt of the litter, and at first he was called Jerry before he came home to us as Jensen. Our youngest teen needed a buddy and Jensen delivered. He was the first dog allowed to sleep on the bed, and when he wasn’t in some odd position up there, he was next to someone somewhere. As a puppy he terrorized the Golden who had squatters rights, constantly chewing his ears, jumping on his back, daring him to play. When he grew out of that stage he slept wherever the Golden slept during the day, and then back on the teenager’s bed at night. In our home there have been eight other pets beside him and he knew six of them-more than any of the others. He was friends with all but the one cat who never learned to trust that rambunctious puppy. He was a happy go lucky, lovable goofball. by @mkbouf

White, conservative Christians have been exposed for supporting, justifying, and celebrating this thoroughly depraved man. If your opposition to abortion and LGBTQ+ is truly a moral conviction why don’t you have the conviction to reject this indefensible man and find a candidate of integrity to take up your cause? You who refuse to confront and denounce him are complicit in his debauchery, and are admitting that your agenda is not sufficiently virtuous to stand on its own merits-it must be imposed by any means necessary. What a weak god you must serve, to rely on a man of this level of depravity to serve his purposes. by @mkbouf
