@POTUS admitted he attacked Iran because Israel told him too.
Iran was and is not a national security threat to the US.
Trumps economic plan has failed. His false flagged war is shutting down the world economy. And ran off our allies and NATO with his threats and bad mouthing. by @mkentthompson

Hurting Iran’s oil revenue—you also cut off their main path to nuclear weapons. Oil sales are what pays for the whole program. Remove that money and their nuclear ambitions become a lot harder to fund.
China charging for the electricity doesn’t change the core math for Iran. Once the world moves away from oil, their income collapses either way—that’s the deeper strategic win.

In the interim we can monitor Iran and others to ensure no WMD. Worst case scenario - a strategic invasion with overwhelming force. That will be an absolute last worst case scenario.

Historical facts are interpreted differently by each side, and continued debate often entrenches positions rather than resolving them. The reality is that both peoples are there now, neither is leaving, and shared ancient Levantine roots support coexistence more than exclusion.
Promoting genuine equal rights under shared secular governance is a positive goal. It succeeds only if applied evenly — not as a vehicle for one side’s total victory. That’s where the hard work of leadership, trust-building, and painful compromise on both sides would be required. I hope that’s the direction you mean. by @mkentthompson

Trump FAILED Venezuela and Iran policy runs up debt and taxpayers pay and pay.

The Treasury isn’t booking any of that Venezuelan oil money as its own revenue — it’s held in custody as Venezuelan sovereign property. The US controls how it’s spent, but it doesn’t belong to the US government.
So for the Treasury itself, there’s no direct positive benefit from either operation. Just the military costs, the higher gas prices hitting Americans, and windfall profits flowing to the oil and gas industry. by @mkentthompson
