Another one of those dishes that brings soooo many memories and good times to life again. Was always one the main desserts I made whenever we had guests coming over. Always a winner and something I found so therapeutic making. by @mkhan08

The most perfect banana cake recipe! Many people forget and make a claim of their own onto recipes and ideas given to them by others but I’m one of those who always remembers where an idea, inspiration or a recipe has come from everytime I see or use it. This is one the first recipes given to. It was given to me by a colleague of my dads and till this date I never forget where it came from each time I make it. Untouched even after alsmost 20 years of me using it (I’ve swapped the dates for chocolate and walnuts everytime but I don’t call that changing when it’s just a different addition to the cake). Baked for many with lots of love and comfort and shared the recipe with many with the joy that they will also cherish it and make it a staple in their home.
