Incredible day celebrating my Brother today. Between the 3 of us we had a near 17lb bag of spots on Shasta. Including my new PB, a 4.98, and a new PB for my brother on his birthday trip! 8-4-22. A date both our families should remember for decades to come. Yeah 1 is in the books. What a wild year it has been. Lots of stress, lots of lows and plenty of highs. Can’t think of anyone I’d rather have spent this year with…. You really are an amazing woman @morgankcoble your strength, passion and grace have helped both of us through some of our hardest times this year. Your joy, laugh, presence and smile have made each day worth the grind. Thank you my love for helping drive me to be the best Michael I can be.

Finally had a couple slump buster days on the water!! Getting into some quality and a dozen fish a day or so. A much needed change from the grind I’ve been in this spring. Plus, FINALLY got the Basscat running into the mid 60’s with 2 guys. Finally feels like things are going right this spring!! Off to Tuscany and it feels like going back in time. San Gimignano, the city of towers…. We found a super cool place in town that has a terracotta replica of what it used to look like before some of the towers fell. Had our first pizza of the trip. And let me say….. if you haven’t had pizza in Italy, you really just haven’t had pizza yet. This was a pizza from a coffee shop, not their specialty, they are a coffee shop……. The simple treatment of high quality local ingredients, in the old style…. It can made a cheese and sausage pizza for $11.50 better than paying $25-40 for wood fired pizza in the states. It boggles the mind a bit….. to top yesterday off, we had an incredible dinner at Officiana Della Bisteca one of @dariocecchinimacellaio restaurants. Had the best seats in the house and got to watch all the meat being prepared…. One of the sweetest gifts I’ve received. @morgankcoble sure knows how to treat me right….. She is still the best decision of my life. by @mkotur325

Well, that’s a wrap on Florence. What an incredible city…. And what incredible art…. I don’t know how they have managed to preserve all the paintings for the last 500+ years, but the vibrance and depth of color is like nothing I’ve seen before. And some of these paintings are massive. Some of the bust statues are 3-4 different types of rock in the same statue that had to be mated together seamlessly. The Ufizzi gallery is a must see. Plus, who is going to argue with a cocktail on the river looking over the Ponte Vecchio. Incredible place…. by @mkotur325

Today was a real cultural and historical experience. So much in Florence to explore…. Art, architecture, museums, history, food……. Can’t think of a better partner to share this trip with. Thanks @morgankcoble for introducing me to international travel. Our honeymoon is going to be amazing!!! by @mkotur325

Wow, so much to say and so little space. Dreams do come true. Grew up idolizing the top level bass fishing circuits in an area where bass fishing was scarce. Started really pursuing bass in the spring of 2018 and the first year I fish the @wildwestbasstrail pro/am circuit to qualify for the TOC and Win?!?! Shocking…. I can’t thank those close to me enough…. @morgankcoble for supporting and loving me through the season, I couldn’t have done it without you babe… @jordanrossow for bringing me into bass fishing, and taking me under his wing in a sport where secrets rarely get shared, @mtnmand for pushing me to pursue my dreams, my tournament partner Scott…. Too many others to list them all….. also a huge shout out to the awesome pros that I fished with @alexkleinfishing man, one bite away from the win!!! Jack Farage, Greg Troughton and to @randypiersonfishing and Alvin the practice time. Thank you all for the help finding those fish. Also to Andrew, Jeff and the crew at @philspropeller and mothers finest baits. There are some sneaky good hand pours lurking in the bins at Phil’s…. Lastly, a huge thank you to Rick Pierce and @basscatboats for supporting the best tournament in the west. Head and shoulders the best co-angler prize anywhere close to Shasta. Still can’t believe I won a freaking boat!!! by @mkotur325

It’s been a week since @morgankcoble and I made our forever decision. The trip to South Carolina was incredible. So good to meet all the members of my new family, and welcome my amazing bride to my family. Hope to get back to Lexington to see my new family and friends again soon….. and to eat more of that mustard bbq….. incredible week, and I couldn’t have built a relationship with a more incredible woman. Here’s to starting a new saga and fulfilling a dream!! Since I started kayak fishing, I’ve always wanted a pedal drive kayak!! Saturday was the day!! I’m still trying to come up with a fun/catchy name for it. But these things are so much fun!!! Hope this can also get me fishing kayak tournaments!! So many places I want to take this boat, and so many things to catch!! Thanks @oldtowncanoes for making an awesome fishing platform!! by @mkotur325
