Well, this is it. Basically my entire 40’s was spent working on this show and never in my wildest dreams did I think we’d end it all in Tulsa, Oklahoma. But that is the point of the show. We were, and still are, everywhere in the world at any point in time in history and we won’t be erased. The final episode of Pride: The LGBTQ History Series is streaming now on @outtv and broadcast tonight at 9pm. Thanks to everyone who worked or participated in the show for the last decade. It was an absolute pleasure and humbling experience to meet you all and work with a wonderful crew along the way. We’ve made the largest audio-visual documentation of 2SLGBTQ+ global history in existence today. No small feat! I hope you are all as proud as I am to have done what we did. 😘 @mikeyerxa @houseofvenus @christianyvesjones @jimotheee__ @kberlyho @_sabatoge @vmystique #pridetvseries #pride #lgbtq by @mkwoods

It’s showtime Synergy! 🌈 The Winnipeg episode I hosted and directed is currently streaming on @outtv and will air on the 📺 channel tomorrow at 9pm EST! Pride The LGBTQ History Show. 🌈 Now in its incredible 6th season, this 6-time Canadian Screen Award-nominated and Leo award-winning docuseries follows filmmaker @mkwoods and friends as they travel to different pride celebrations around the globe to learn about LGBTQ+ history and how it can inform our communities going forward.   Inspired by the exclusion of LGBTQ+ history growing up, Woods has embarked on a worldwide journey to discover how LGBTQ people have lived, loved, persevered and, after visiting 42 cities, has created one of the most expansive documentations of global LGBTQ+ history in any medium. From pre-colonial third genders to famous “queer” UK royalty, the series brings lesser-known, and often surprising, LGBTQ stories to light. While exploring where and how LGBTQ+ people have both struggled and strived in the past, this heartwarming series awakens a brand new sense of “pride” for all members of our community.   In the show’s 6th and final season, Woods is joined by previous guest hosts/producers @christianyvesjones and Michael Venus, each bringing a unique perspective to the exploration of our collective queer history. Christian travels to pride festivals in Porto, Portugal, Edinburgh, Scotland and Portland, Oregon while Michael visits Winnipeg, Manitoba. Meanwhile, Mark joins Christian in Edinburgh and Portland in addition to Adelaide and Perth, Australia and Tulsa, Oklahoma. taken in Winnipeg, Manitoba by @mkwoods
