Small businesses are a huge part of what makes a community feel like a community.

They’re the people fixing your car, building your home, making your coffee, taking care of your family, sponsoring your kids’ teams, donating to local fundraisers, and showing up for their neighbors.

And honestly, that’s a big part of why I love what I do.

SEO might look like rankings, keywords, websites, Google Business Profiles, and a whole lot of data behind the scenes. 🤓 But at the end of the day, there are real people on both sides of every Google search.

There’s a business owner who has worked incredibly hard to build something they’re proud of, and there’s someone in their community searching for exactly what that business offers.

My job is to help connect the two.

After 10+ years in digital marketing, I still get genuinely excited watching a local business move up in search results, get that phone call from a new customer, or grow into something bigger than they imagined.

Because when our clients grow, they hire people. They expand. They support other local businesses. They give back. And our whole community benefits from it.

That’s what ML SEO is really about.

Helping good local businesses get found by the people already looking for them.

If you’ve built a great business but feel like not enough people know you exist yet, DM me “LocalLift.” Let’s change that.

In the beginning, doing everything yourself makes sense. You build the website. Post on social media. Figure out Google. Make the graphics. Run the ads. Write the blogs. Check the analytics.

Suddenly you’re the CEO, marketing department, graphic designer, copywriter, web guy, ad manager, and somehow IT support too. 😂

And honestly? That resourcefulness probably helped get your business where it is today.

But eventually, there’s a cost to doing everything yourself. Not just in hours, but in all the things that aren’t getting done because there’s only so much of you to go around.

That’s where outsourcing changes things.

Hiring professionals doesn’t mean you can’t do it yourself. It means you’ve realized your time is better spent doing the things only YOU can do while someone else takes ownership of the things they’re really freaking good at.

At ML SEO, we can help with website optimization, SEO, Google Business Profile management, Google + Facebook ads, social media, graphic design, blogs, analytics, project management, keeping up with platform changes and trends, and all those little behind-the-scenes tasks that somehow turn into 47 open tabs. 😂

But the biggest benefit isn’t just getting more done. It’s having an actual strategy connecting all of it.

Your website supports your SEO. Your content supports your visibility. Your ads work alongside your organic strategy. Your analytics help us make smarter decisions.

You don’t have to outsource everything. But if doing everything yourself is starting to keep your business from growing, it might be time to take off a few hats.

You focus on running your business. We’ll happily take the Google nerd hat. 🤓

Keep your Google Business Profile accurate.

I know. Not exactly the groundbreaking SEO hack you were expecting. 😂 But you’d be surprised how many businesses have outdated hours, missing services, old photos, the wrong categories, or information on their Google profile that doesn’t match their website.

And when someone searches for a business like yours, your Google Business Profile is often one of the first things they see.

Take 10 minutes today and check yours. Are your hours correct? Are all of your services listed? Is your primary category actually the best fit for what you do? Have you added recent photos? Does your website, phone number, and business information match everywhere?

Local SEO isn’t always about finding some secret Google hack. Most of the time, it’s about doing the basics really well and doing them consistently.

And yes, unfortunately that’s less exciting than telling you to drive around town with Google Maps open. 😂

What happens to your leads when you turn your ads off? 👀

Paid ads can be a great tool. But if they’re the ONLY thing keeping your business visible, you’re going to feel it the second that budget stops.

That’s one of the reasons we’re so big on building organic visibility alongside everything else you’re doing.

The 90-Day LocalLift Protocol is designed to strengthen the pieces of your online presence that can keep working for you over time. Your Google Business Profile. Your website and service pages. Helpful content around what your customers are actually searching for. Your local visibility. Your reviews. And the data that tells us what’s working and what needs attention.

Because the goal isn’t just to get a bunch of clicks for the next 30 days.

It’s to build an online presence that makes it easier for the right people to find you when they’re already searching for what you offer.

SEO takes time. There’s no magic switch we flip on day 90 that suddenly puts you at the top of Google. 😂 But those 90 days can be spent building the foundation, fixing what’s holding you back, and creating the kind of momentum that can continue growing long after.

Ads can buy attention. SEO helps you build visibility. A strong marketing strategy knows when to use both.

If you’re tired of wondering where your next lead is coming from and want to start building a stronger presence on Google, DM “LocalLift” and let’s talk about what that could look like for your business.

I saw this story recently and immediately thought about how many small business owners could unknowingly be in the exact same position.

And to be clear, my takeaway wasn’t “Facebook ads are bad.” They’re not. Paid advertising can be an incredibly valuable part of your marketing strategy.

What made me stop was the 85%.

If 85% of your leads, sales, or revenue depend on one marketing channel continuing to work exactly as it does today, that’s a pretty vulnerable position for any business to be in.

Because sometimes things happen that have absolutely nothing to do with how good you are at running your business. An account gets suspended. An algorithm changes. Ad costs climb. A platform loses popularity. Your biggest referral partner closes shop.

That’s why I’m such a big believer in building multiple paths back to your business.

Run the ads AND work on your SEO. Build your social presence AND grow an email list. Optimize your Google Business Profile AND keep improving your website. Ask for reviews. Create useful content. Pay attention to where your leads are actually coming from.

You don’t need to do everything, everywhere, all at once. But you also don’t want the livelihood you’ve worked so hard to build sitting entirely in the hands of one platform.

At ML SEO, we’re not interested in selling you one marketing tactic and pretending it’s the answer to everything. We want to look at the bigger picture and help build an online presence that’s strong enough to support your business for the long haul.

Because the best marketing strategy isn’t one trick that works really well today. It’s building a business with more than one way for your next customer to find you.

One year of working together! 🎉

We’re excited to celebrate our 1-year partnership with SMP Ink CDA and incredibly grateful for the trust their team has placed in ML SEO over the past year.

One of the best parts of what we do is getting to know the people behind the businesses we work with. Watching them grow, cheering on their wins, and getting to play even a small part in what they’re building never gets old.

SMP Ink CDA, thank you for trusting us with your business and allowing us to work alongside your team. It’s been such a great year, and we’re looking forward to everything we’ll continue building together!

Here’s to year two! 👏🏼 taken in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho by @ml_seo_llc

There are people in your area searching Google for exactly what your business does.

The question is… are they finding you or your competitor? 👀

That’s really what local SEO comes down to.

When someone searches “electrician near me,” “best mechanic in Rathdrum,” or “chiropractor in Coeur d’Alene,” they’re not casually scrolling. They have a problem, they’re looking for a solution, and they’re probably pretty close to making a decision.

Those are the people you want finding your business.

Local SEO helps make that happen by strengthening your Google Business Profile, website, reviews, local content, and the other signals that help search engines understand what you do and where you do it.

You don’t need to chase every person on the internet. You just need to make it really easy for the right people to find you when they’re already looking.

And if your competitors keep showing up before you do? Let’s change that. 👋🏼

Consider this your official warning: SEO might be terrible for your business. 😬

You might start showing up when people search for exactly what you offer. Your website could start getting traffic from people who actually WANT your services. You could attract warmer leads who already know they have a problem and are actively looking for someone to solve it.

And worst of all? You might build enough organic visibility that you don’t have to rely entirely on paid ads, referrals, or crossing your fingers and hoping the phone rings. 😂

Absolutely brutal.

In all seriousness, that’s what makes SEO so valuable. You’re not trying to interrupt someone and convince them they need what you sell. You’re positioning your business to be there when they’re already searching for it.

It takes time. It takes consistency. And no, you’re probably not going to wake up tomorrow magically ranking #1 for everything you do.

But when you build it the right way, you’re creating an online presence designed to keep working for your business long after you hit publish.

So yeah… definitely don’t do SEO.

Unless you want to be the business they find, trust, and choose. Then we should probably talk. 👀
