Dear Tuskegee Airmen,

As a recent graduate in Aerospace Engineering from Tuskegee University, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your service to our country and your remarkable achievements during World War II. Your determination and bravery in the face of adversity paved the way for generations to come, and your legacy continues to inspire us all.
I came to Tuskegee University specifically because of its connection to the Tuskegee Airmen. I was deeply inspired by the courage and perseverance you demonstrated in the face of discrimination and adversity.
Your groundbreaking work as the first African American aviators in the United States Armed Forces broke down barriers and promoted greater opportunities for black Americans. Your legacy has been a guiding light for so many of us, and we are proud to be able to carry on your work and your legacy at Tuskegee University.
Your pioneering work has inspired generations of African American scientists, engineers, and aviators, and I am proud to be a part of that legacy.
Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your enduring legacy. Thank you Tuskegee University Aerospace Program and Tuskegee Airmen.

Taking off..
Ricky Payne Jr.

The Wings Club Foundation is the premier global society of aviation professionals. Extremely grateful to be featured at The Wings Club 82nd Annual Awards Gala in New York. It is truly a blessing to be honored amongst many aviation leaders.

Five years ago, I didn’t have a clear vision of the future but I always had a strong work ethic and knew I was determined to pursue my dream of becoming an engineer in aviation. It’s hard to believe how many opportunities I’ve been blessed to have. Looking back, the long nights of assignments and studying with my classmates really paid off. I know there’s still so much more to learn and this is just one step in the journey… I truly understand now what “walk by faith and not by sight” means. taken in New York Hilton Midtown by @mlb.rick
