STRANGE RESEARCH Vol II
TONIGHT 19h
Rennweg 8

„That’s what I call ‘the catastrophic sublime’: at some point, our experience of failure, of systems collapsing, of shifting grounds loses its existential, threatening character. Once that happens, we can experience these catastrophes in another way, akin to the aesthetic of the sublime: the feeling of being immersed yet slightly removed and without danger. „ @luce_delire by @mlestew

ιηтσ ∂υѕт is out today 🌬
… it has been such a pleasure working on this song over the last 2 years. on this one everything fell into place. after having recorded strings, horns & @friedemerz 's vocals, I knew for the first time what our album was going to sound like.
my dear friend @beate_wiesinger completely rocked the bassline, @anja.f.plaschg added a layer of immensely beautiful vocals and @alex___krana a magical interlude on alto horn.
+ more dreamy horn sounds by @monamriahi & @ahmostgimmr
+ exquisite strings by florian sighartner, @noxom__ , @mlestew , @lukaslauermann & carles muñoz camarero
+ the best artwork by @studio___low
+ @mnphb.mp3 (mix) & @mischa.janisch (master) took care of every detail very lovingly.
we all did. 🤍 by @mlestew

Violinist Emily Stewart (left) and violinist Emily Stewart (right). At long last, and somewhat spontaneously today in Vienna, I met my homonym. For a long time we had been confused with one another. I have received emails meant for her. Photos of myself have been used to promote her concerts. It was always a funny coincidence! Although we feared the world may implode if we ever met face to face, today it happened and the world now actually seems a bit better than it was before.

Emily, it was so lovely to meet you and spend even just a short time together today! Now that we know it won’t cause a galactic catastrophe, I very much look forward to seeing you again! taken in Vienna, Austria by @mlestew
