God has given us the greatest blessing of all šŸ’™

We are SOOO excited to share that the Lord has blessed us with a beautiful baby boy! šŸ„¹šŸ’™

These past few months have been such a sweet journey of preparing our hearts, our home, and our lives for this precious gift from God. This past weekend, we were so blessed to celebrate our little boy surrounded by our closest family and friends. šŸ«¶šŸ½

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the village God has placed around us and for every prayer, word of encouragement, and act of love along the way.

We can’t wait to see all that the Lord has in store for him—and for us—as we step into this beautiful new chapter of parenthood. šŸ™šŸ½šŸ’™

ā€œEvery good and perfect gift is from aboveā€¦ā€ — James 1:17 ✨

Our little boy, you are so loved.šŸ‘¶šŸ½šŸ’™ #hereforyoux3

ā€œStart children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.ā€ Proverbs 22:6.
I’m not sure just how familiar my father is with this verse, but I know he has embodied it. When I think about how gracious God is to have blessed me with such an amazing dad, my heart gets heavy and my eyes watery. A lot of my childhood is a blur and I can’t remember much, but I do remember not seeing my dad for days at a time and being upset that he wasn’t home enough, but I also remember the vacations and lifestyle that I had no idea how they were paid for (till this dayšŸ˜‚) and I most definitely remember never lacking a thing. Words can’t begin to describe the sacrifices my father made for me let alone how grateful I am; there were ups and downs, but never was my father’s love a question. If anything, the question was just how he could love me this much. He is far from perfect, but he wanted nothing but the absolute best for me, for his family, and for just about anyone in his life. The best felt short of my father’s wants for me, but it also felt short of his expectations of me. He has instilled so many great values in his family, from faith to integrity, and as I make my way through life with these values in my heart and mind, I love to take a step back and just appreciate him for who he was, is, and forever will be in my life, one of God’s greatest blessings!!! I love you forever, Dad!!!!ā¤ļø

The Journey of a Christian Haitian Immigrant! {2015-2025}
-
10 years ago today, I had left everything I knew, just my sister and I in pursuit of the Haitian American dream. I had many desires in my heart, dare I humbly say desires that the Lord gave me and I have been blessed and highly favored to see every single one of those dreams come to pass. Through my 27 years of life, the Lord has led every path and opened every door. His promises are YES AND AMEN!
From the little girl who started Kindergarten at L’École Maternelle Margueritte D’Youville, completed elementary school at École La Providence des Cayes, secondary school at ColleĢ€ge FreĢ€res Odile Joseph before migrating to the US to graduate from Monarch High School, God never left me nor did He forsake me.
I struggled with being away from home. I felt the excruciating pain of missing parents, family, friends; I almost became numb through the heartbreaks, but GOD… I lost my way, forgot my purpose, almost stopped desiring, but GOD… His grace, mercy, and favor pulled me through. I found ways to represent my home and to slowly redefine my life, beauty pageants were a gateway to turning this pain into purpose. I walked red carpets, published a book, spoke at cultural and social events, traveled the world, and graduated from Florida Atlantic University. Through it all, I never knew what was next, I just knew I could trust MY GOD! I walked by faith and not by sight, I believed in His plans to prosper me, to give me hope and a future, and while I was no bible scholar, I lived His word, the little that I knew, I LIVED IT.
Just when I thought there was no more hope to be had, I started my journey as a law student at Regent University School of Law where God sent my best friend and love of my life. My biggest desire, to be a wife, came to life just before I graduated law school.
Here I am with a fulfilling career in my own home and family; testimony of God’s grace and favor. As God continues to give desires for my heart, in this new journey of ambassadorship for Christ, I glorify God for who He is and all He does! All this to say, GET TO KNOW JESUS!!!

On Haitian Mother's Day, I want to acknowledge and honor my mothers and grandmothers who have carried me through. People often see the celebrations without thinking of the challenges, but as I celebrate all that God has done in my life, it all started with them! My Mother, my Aunty Mommy, my Granma, and my Manmie LoĢ€t! It is a different kind of pain to have celebrated my wedding without my granmas, but my graduation was somewhat of a different story. Getting the opportunity to honor them and share with them just how grateful I am for all that they have sacrificed for our family and the love and support they have always given me made the journey much more beautiful. I have traveled a lot, I have lived a lot, and I am confident in saying that they have done an impeccable job raising our family, they have loved, they have cared, they have forgiven, they have given, and most importantly, they have PRAYED! Three generations of blessings, and ... Oh what a joy it is for me to know that my future daughters will be able to look at these women and boldly stand in prayer and in love. Happy Mother's Day to all the Haitian Mothers, specially to my Queensā¤ļø

Heavy on Psalm 91; I am the answer to generations of prayers, the result of my mothers’ and grandmothers’ intercessions. My God, El Elyon, has been my great provider, my promise keeper, and he’s my Jehovah Nissi. Praising my way through this season of answered prayers!

Screaming Congratulations to my Future Husband, Ishmael L. Gbassagee, Esq.!
I am so so proud of you and I cannot wait to see all that the Lord will be doing with the skills, knowledge, and wisdom you have acquired through this journey. Becoming one of the 5% of Black Lawyers in America is no small feat and as I celebrate you, I pray for every single case you will work on, every single person you will help, and every single life and community you will impact. Your dedication, hard work, and discipline are beyond honorable and I know that as you embark on this new journey the Lord has already set the path for professional, financial, and overall success, including getting through the bar exam.

An average student with a superpower from the most high; a first generation immigrant with a passion for justice and what is right. April 30, 2021, I walked away from my dream job and May 1st, 2022, I’m walking into the first big step of my career goal. It’s only fair to celebrate Law Day with my commitment to attend @regentlawschool in the fall.
All it takes is one YES, yet God has blessed me with 6 and counting, but from the day I walked into Regent, something about my heart and soul felt at home. My conversations with God confirmed it, so cheers to the start of the next chapter of my lifešŸ„‚
