When I decided to do something different for my display cards, a mirrored finish wasn’t what I was thinking of, but I love it! My embossing stamp and textured papers aren’t a winner, this card is 250gsm so it’s a little thicker and I am now able to make the holes the right size for what I want or need.. whether it’s for earrings or pendants!

I haven’t touched anything jewellery for two days and I’m not mad! This was a perfect distraction for me for what I needed so next week I’ll take a few days and work on a few pieces whilst organising for the market stall on the 25th! At least if it’s windy, these cards won’t be flying off my stand! by @mltd_creations

I don’t just silversmith my beautiful jewellery, I carve out of wax, sometimes I use a build up method! Here I am today in the very beginnings of a square shaped signet. First step is creating the desired ring size!

There is so much that goes into creating a ring from wax! Plenty of the process is missing here but it’s the weekend and I have a 5 year old to entertain so the record button was at times missed!! It was a case of third time lucky, there were flaws in my previous wax pieces and it just wasn’t casting to my standards.

Quality tools are an important part for any jewellers journey.
.
Aspects of jewellery making had me concerned as I have chronic pain that targets my hands mostly, so finding tools that made it easier for me was extremely important. My original reamer only had two sides and it made making rings really painful, this makes it not only easier but much quicker too!

I have started to teach myself to make reels… why? Because it’s important to show you all it’s me that’s making the jewellery I sell!! There aren’t any temu imports in my stall! Absolutely everything I make is made by me in my house (thankfully without burning it down)

This thorny little heart is coming soon to my website! Currently it’s exclusive to my market stall!
