oh the places we’ll go…..

What an honor it was to be able to not only be photographed by the one and only @keilynnphoto but to be photographed alongside one of my idols and friend @zoioioioi . She has been nothing but an inspiration to me throughout my dance & theater journey. She has recently moved to NYC so it was such an honor and privilege to be able to capture these moments with her. I will forever love and be grateful to her <3

After a couple of days of settling in, I am excited to announce that I will be joining the cast of Moana and Beauty and the Beast as a Main stage performer aboard the Treasure. Since finding out, it has been such a surreal experience learning to anticipate and manage this drastic change in life. I hold all the love and gratitude for everyone who has poured their blood sweat and tears into me in order for this opportunity to come my way!!

I want to thank @disneycruiseline for this opportunity.

I want to thank @centerstagehilo @manahoopai & @aliseness for allowing me to train, learn and be mentored by some of the most talented dancers I know.

I want to thank @zoioioioi as she was my first dance teacher and has always pushed me to be the better perform and person I am today. She is truly and will forever be one of the people I look up to the most.

I want to thank @lawrence_robert_reitzer & @heart_hilo for being that outlet that allowed me to nurture and expand my craft. For giving me the opportunity to perform and for believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself. For not casting that young boy in Beauty and the Beast (lol) but giving him a second chance later that allowed him to be where he is today.

I want to thank @kyra.gomes for telling me about the open call lol But really for always being that friend who constantly is on you because they know you have more and can be more. I love you <3

and lastly…

Thank you to my mom and dad @momete5 for always being there and supporting me as I discover myself and my place in this world. My parents are my number one supporters that are rooting for me even if it’s from millions of miles away.

I am proud to not only represent my ʻohana but representing kanaka as whole in an industry where it feels like there is so little of us. It makes me proud to see us telling our story of what it means to be Polynesian. No matter if there’s 2 of us or 200 of us, I will always stand and be proud to be kanaka.
