Bib in hand and it finally feels real 🥹 One and a half years ago I was struggling through 5Ks, and this Sunday I’m running my very first marathon in Chicago. First marathon, first World Major, first star ⭐ Let the Six Star journey begin!

My birthday wish? Make everyone I love suffer through a 5K at 7am on a Sunday 😂🎂 and they showed UP — this is why I keep them around 🧡🏃‍♀️#birthday5k #5kbirthdayrun #birthdayrunning #celsiuslivefit @celsiusofficial #celsiusambassador by @mmaiteca4

If you’re wondering whether you can do it, this is your sign. 🏃‍♀️

I started running a year and a half ago and could barely finish a 5K. On Sunday I finished the Chicago Marathon. It was hard, it hurt, and I’d do it all again. Start where you are. 💪

It was such an honor to run for Girls on the Run Chicago. 💙 Thank you to everyone who supported me, cheered me on, and donated to my fundraiser. Every mile was for these girls, and I couldn’t have done it without you. 🥹 @chimarathon @gotrchicago @shokzusa #chicagomarathon #marathon #firstmarathon #worldmarathonmajors #shokzstar taken in Chicago, Illinois by @mmaiteca4

My Chicago Marathon recap 🏃‍♀️⭐️ My FIRST marathon ever!!

I only slept 2 hours the night before and my body battery was at 15 that morning. Not ideal 🤣 I spent the whole morning before the start with @jcknieto , a friend I made on the internet who was the sweetest.

Then we were off! I saw my family and friends @lau_0627 @juanse2794 @angiepao💕, so many people cheering, and the posters were amazing. Some had me laughing mid run 😂

I felt good the whole first half, but around mile 16 it got SO hot and the sun was killing me. Around mile 22 I saw @thea.lu99 and @keegan_breaksaway with the Shokz team🤩, and the Biofreeze station toward the end was the absolute best 🧊

After mile 23 I really struggled and wanted to quit… but the audio messages you all left me on the @runwithrally app helped me push through and kept me motivated 🥹 And I made it!! 🏅 First World Major completed ✅

Thank you to everyone who cheered, tracked, and supported me ❤️

Asked my friends and family to send me audio messages through the @runwithrally 🥇 app for my first marathon, and wow 🥹 Thank you so much to everyone who left me one 💕 You have no idea how much they helped me push through those miles in Chicago. Here are a few of my favorites… and stay until the end to hear my mom swearing in French 🤣🇫🇷

Crossing the finish line of your first ever marathon is a feeling that only happens once in a lifetime. I was so scared to do this, but now I know what I’m capable of. I can do hard things, and so can you. 🏅

Chicago Marathon, you changed me. ❤️
