Amazing trip to Minneapolis/St Paul last week, one of the most underrated parts of the United States, for sure…incredibly underrated. Many thanks to my dear friend/client/host, Steve Lehr from CBRE!! We took in a Minnesota Wild game (Rangers win 3-2 in OT) and spent two days discussing life, real estate, and our business together. The cherry on the sundae was a 3-hr tour of Paisley Park, headquarters to the greatest musician of all-time, Prince Rogers Nelson. Needless to say, it was overwhelming, inspiring, and words cannot adequately describe….

Thee coolest cat on the planet (not Clint Eastwood in Pale Rider) ripped the cover off it last night at the 713 here in Houston…Gary Clark, Jr. The Grammy Award winning guitarist and singer/songwriter is one of my top 5 all-time favorites and I will chase this dude down again for another live performance, for sure.

Waited months (years actually) and bought my ticket weeks ago for the opening of Becoming Led Zeppelin last night. IMAX is the only way to go and it was absolutely brilliant!! The production, concert footage, backstory, and insight (including John Bonham interviews never heard before) brought an even greater appreciation for the greatest rock and roll band ever…if that’s possible. I’m anxious now for some feedback…keep in mind the title of the documentary when you assess and I’ll leave it at that. by @mmalario3

Living LEGEND. Cultural ICON. Humanitarian. Social activist. AND, one of the greatest guitar players to ever walk the face of the earth…period. Carlos Santana is 77 years old…77!! He played Woodstock with Hendrix, in Austin on Sunday night, and all over the world in between for almost 60 years. Folks, go see him while you have the chance and embrace the gift he has given to the world…I will NEVER forget this one!

When you spend time with Navy Seals, the conversation is different, I promise you…from the calm, humble demeanor to the unwavering love of our country, to the fact that Hollywood doesn’t tell the story, to the idea that every Seal is a teammate. They ARE built differently, period.
Jacob Werksman is a former Navy Seal, Harvard MBA, and CEO of Victory Strategies, a top tier management and leadership consulting firm. He defended our freedom and now he’s offering his clients world-class intel to manage and lead their people in all industries throughout the country. The world needs more heroes like him…it’s that simple.

I’ll remember like it was yesterday my “interview” with Mr. Burke on becoming a member at Champions…and it wasn’t just about golf. It was about life, business, family, professionalism, courtesy, conduct, and the need to set the standard in our game. He understood all of those things more than most and he had a profound impact on my life! He WILL be missed…RIP. Jack Burke. 🙏🏻 ⛳️
