Happy International Teachers’ Day! 📚

I started my teaching career almost immediately after leaving the university in 2017, even before I received my certificate as a certified Teacher/Librarian.

Watching these children grow, learn, and strive towards a better future brought me so much joy. Seeing a child who barely understood something eventually master it before the end of the term came with an indescribable sense of pride and fulfillment. I got to realize that the more you teach, the more knowledge you acquire, so it’s a win win!!

PS: One of the Perks of Teaching Children, it renews your inner child spirit 😁😅😂

It wasn’t easy being the “nomadic teacher,” as I was fondly called by the CEO of Salma Private School, who gave me my very first opportunity to teach. From Nursery 3 to Primary 1 and Primary 2, I learned that teaching was so much more than standing in front of a classroom.

It wasn’t always easy. There were challenging days, exhausting moments, and times when I wondered if I was doing enough. But through dedication, patience, resilience, and, above all, the grace of God, it was truly fulfilling.

Today, I celebrate every teacher who shows up, teaches with love, encourages a child, plants seeds, and keeps believing in the future even when the results aren’t immediate.

Our reward is not just in heaven; there is reward here on earth too.

Today, I’m choosing to stop hiding.
For a long time, I struggled with my skin and everything that came with living with Atopic Dermatitis.
The itching, The flare-ups,The marks,The questions,The insecurity.
And sometimes, the hardest part was feeling like nobody really understood what was happening beneath the surface.
So on World Atopic Eczema Day, I’m finally sharing my story.
This page isn’t about perfect skin. It’s about real skin, real experiences and real conversations.
I want to create awareness, break the silence around eczema and hopefully build a community where nobody living with Atopic Dermatitis feels alone.

Story Time!
Few days before I took this picture as I walked into the studio, ready to start my show, a colleague caught sight of me and blurted out, “You’ve added weight! I felt a sting from his thoughtless words. It was a harsh reminder of a similar experience almost 10years from my past when someone commented on my dressing sense in church on a beautiful Sunday morning saying I looked like a “house help.😂

That comment had left a lasting impact, making me feel self-conscious and unsure. But this time,I said to him, “If you don’t have anything better to say, then maybe you should keep quiet.

In that moment, I realized I’d grown stronger. I’d learned to prioritize my well-being, I learned to define my own worth, refusing to let others dictate my self-perception. Guess what? Same the day the picture was taken, same person that said I added weight said ahh you’ve lost weight ohh! 😂😂
You have the power to choose how you respond to hurtful comments. Don’t let others define your worth – you call the shots!

A little throw back to three months ago when we dissected and analyzed the Governors and Our President’s one year in office.
NB: My senior colleague who was the main Anchor of this show was unavailable for a month and my GM called and said Madam you’ll handle the political voice show, if you like go and embarrass yourself there, better go and start making your research on Nigerian politicians and get good questions to ask your analysts.
In my mind I was like ahhhhh my Gm 1 and MMASINACHI Zero, I was scared to my bone because I mean check it now POLITICS of all shows ahhh Jehovah but then i had to put in all i had because we don’t back down from challenges we face it head on because I am a whatttttt!? 😝😝
