🎬 Closing out the Detroit Black Film Festival!

I had the opportunity to catch up with Catherine Martinez (with a guest appearance from her sis Marshalle 😊) during the Closing Ceremony of the Detroit Black Film Festival!

After several days of celebrating Black filmmakers, actors, writers, producers, and creatives, the Closing Ceremony was the perfect way to wrap up an incredible festival. We talked about their experience, their work, and what’s next.

Check out my conversation with @catherinejm and @mmarshalle and keep supporting independent Black film and the talented creatives bringing these stories to life.

What a wonderful Friday it was! The weather was awesome and the sun was shining (at least for me it was! 😂).

Let’s get into it! I started my day at the Belle Isle Casino in Detroit, Michigan for the Taste of Black Spirits Event.

I have to admit, I was a little early and everyone was still setting up, but nonetheless we made it work. I had conversations with Founders and Owners of their AMAZING Brands.

Did I mention, everything was 100% BLACK OWNED?!!! There were Vegan Options, Uniquely Created Fashion and Accessories, Books, Food, Wine, Cognac and so much more!

Even though I had another event to attend, I was able to experience great conversations, network and capture amazing content. Oh, what a wonderful experience it was!

Stay Tuned for Incredible Interviews from some Amazing People.
