The Grand Wall 5.11a A0✅

Moving to Squamish this summer I didn’t know what goals I had in mind, trad climbing and granite were both new to me.
That being said, I made a goal which seemed to be a stretch, On-sighting the Grand by the end of summer.

Most of the season the Grand was closed for conservation which meant that the climb wasn’t even available to me. This allowed me to push my climbing elsewhere without the daunting goal lingering.

Yesterday the conservation closure lifted and I told Sasha we had to get on it before season ended. We started early this morning with the goal of being the first party on it, and that we were. Long story short, today I on-sighted the grand and I couldn’t be more stoked!

I can’t thank Sasha enough for being such an amazing climbing partner. He has pushed me to do so many things I didn’t think I was capable of. Thanks dude! I wouldn’t be here without you🫶

On another note, my Squamish summer is wrapping up and it has been nothing short of amazing. Thanks to everyone who I spent my time with, you guys rock! by @mmaxwright_

Bugaboos are freaking neat.

Had the opportunity to summit East Post Spire, swim in a chilly lake,and dream about the lines I’ll do someday.

3 days, 65km, 2400m elevation gained.
