IM 31, CHASING MY DREAMS AND IM AFRAID TO ADMIT…⁣
⁣
𝗶’𝗺 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲. grateful for the things i’ve been able to do, but there’s a voice in my head that says i haven’t done enough yet.⁣
⁣
𝗶’𝗺 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 and afraid of doing this life thing alone. the thought of having all the accomplishments but no one to share it with terrifies me.⁣
⁣
𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆 to be black, gay, and successful, and it holds a lot of weight in my life. maybe because i come from a generation of queer black kids that always heard “you already got one strike against you” ⁣
⁣
𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗺𝘆. when i’m working on a project, i hyper focus on that one thing, and everything else just kind of disappears until it’s done.⁣
⁣
𝗶 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 thinking about the future, and sometimes struggle to be more present with the people i love & care about. ⁣
⁣
𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗽𝗽 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀. i’ve always been nervous to put this kind of content out there but this is the vulnerable part that also comes the highlights…it’s my story
⁣
i’m not trying to be perfect, but i’m definitely striving to be better than i was yesterday so this is the journey of me learning, growing, and making my dreams real.

⁣
major shoutout to these beautifully spirited and extremely talented group of people. ⁣
⁣
colorwaave is not an easy event to execute, it’s curated from the ground up every year. but if it seems easy, it’s because:⁣
⁣
@emannvictor / interior design director ⁣
@leasimone / event director ⁣
@rudyxmartinez / visual art director⁣
@_earthmaniac / project manager⁣
@jurneerich / director of endorsements⁣
⁣
put in countless hours to make sure every detail was accounted for. ⁣
⁣
005 started as a concept and you all made it real, with real impact.⁣
⁣
not only did we have a good time celebrating pride but we raised over $2,300 to pour back into our local lgbtq+ community.

…kind of sickening if you ask me 😎🏳️‍🌈⁣
⁣
i also want to give a huge shoutout to our volunteers we needed you and you showed up and showed out!⁣
⁣
sending much love to you all. ⁣
forever grateful. ⁣
keep shinning.⁣
